Starting day two of the ASHCA Safety Summit with Energy and Insight!

This morning, Kelly George, ASHCA Board Member and VP of Safety and Corporate Affairs at Grimmway Farms, kicked off our final day with an engaging session on “Incident Investigations in Agriculture.”

Filled with enthusiasm, practical advice, and audience participation, Kelly reminded us that learning from incidents is key to building a stronger culture of safety on every farm.

Keeping Kids Safe on the Farm! 🚜

Dr. Andrea Swenson, director of the National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety, shared the National Action Plan: Safeguarding Children in Agriculture.

She reminded us that almost every injury is preventable, and by working together toward the seven goals outlined in the plan, we can help ensure all youth grow up safe, healthy, and thriving in agricultural environments. 🌱
