Hear from our CEO, Dr. Tonya Adkins, about why establishing an in-house pharmacy at our Leesburg site matters for uninsured patients.

When care is fragmented, patients fall through the cracks.

When care is integrated, better health follows.

Early giving is open now, and Give Choose is March 24.

HealthWorks in the community: We were out and about at two separate events this week. First, we attended a community dinner hosted by the Leesburg Presbyterian Church for the former residents of the Leesburg Mobile Park. HealthWorks shared important information about our services with these community members. Second was the Dulles South Food Pantry, where we were able to share resources as neighbors in need received food and personal supplies. We are grateful to our community partners for including us in these important events.

For many uninsured patients, HealthWorks is their healthcare home.

At our Leesburg site, patients can see their provider, receive bilingual support, and leave with their prescriptions the same day.

But in March 2026, the pharmacy serving our patients will close - threatening access to medications many depend on to stay healthy.

HealthWorks is working to ensure care and medication access remain connected for our community.

Stay tuned for more updates.

HealthWorks CEO Dr. Tonya Adkins spoke out about affordable housing and homelessness during a public hearing regarding the fiscal year 2027 budget held by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. During her remarks, she highlighted the links between housing, food, and healthcare. Housing crises often mean families must choose between food and medicine, and food always wins. When this happens, management of chronic diseases, mental health, and other pressing healthcare needs often fall to the back burner.

HealthWorks for Northern Virginia proudly joins with other non-profit partners through the Loudoun Human Services Network (LHSN) to ensure that the safety net for Loudoun County’s most vulnerable residents is strong.

Our support for our community doesn’t stop at the doors of our building. We also strive to meet the community where they are. This weekend, we participated in two separate but impactful events. The first one was Rep. James Walkinshaw Constituent Services Fair at the Fairfax Government Center. There, we joined more than 40 other community organizations in a showcase of resources for residents of his district. Second, we visited Mount Olive Baptist Church in Centreville to raise awareness for the services we provide, share how others can get involved, and promote partnership. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with the public and highlight how they can access our services. We hope to see you at the next event!
