Why good sunglasses are valuable...
I snapped this photo while sitting in traffic headed East on Rt.7 toward Washington this morning. I realized when I got to my destination that people who were not wearing good sunglasses could not see the light show I saw on the way.
To those without the benefit of the light filtering polarized lenses I was wearing could not see beyond the blinding glare. People in cheap sunglasses had shaded light but could not see all the colors happening in the sky. The high quality camera lens could not even capture the full spectrum of this amazing sky show.
For me, I could see a double halo rainbow bending around the cloud covered sun. I remained bright, vibrant and a bit awe inspiring for my entire drive. At one point I took my sunglasses off to observe what all the drivers without sunglasses were seeing, it was just blinding glare glinting off the clouds.
My sunglasses did 2 things for me this morning.
1.They filtered all the right amounts of the light spectrum to put my eyes at ease and preserve my night vision.
2. They filtered polarized light strike on the clouds and cars around me making it easier for me to see the signs and anticipate the traffic.
3. The light filtration in my grey sunlenses gave me true color definition and enhanced the entire color spectrum to a vibrant, clear image of a double halo cloud rainbow bending around the sun.
I felt blessed rather than stressed on my drive today. You can too, come see me.
