In the spirit of the Olympics and the gold medal performance of all of you quilt donors and supporters of Wrap the World with Quilts…

I am sharing my gold medal (recently found in a junk drawer at my parents house) from a 1979 softball tournament with you because we have hit 65,000 donations! That deserves a gold medal for sure!

So feel free to print off a copy of this gold medal and stick it on your fridge and know that we love you and your willingness to share your sewing talents with the world.

We are grateful.

A big thanks to the students at Lehi High School who stayed after school to make fleece blankets and sew quilts to donate to those in need. They helped us get over the 65,000 donations mark! And they were super creative on the notes of encouragement they made too!

Thank you for hosting a great “after the show” event and inviting us to collaborate! It was so fun to share our story with so many in attendance at QuiltCon. Windham generously handed out fabric and asked everyone to make quilt blocks to send back to Windham. Blocks will be turned into quilts and donated to Wrap the World with Quilts. It was great to meet so many quilters and givers. And a special thank you to Kait Witte for putting this all together.

As seen in Raleigh, NC at Quilt Con….

As we near the 4 year anniversary of Russia invading Ukraine… I thought this quilt, Hope for Ukraine, would be appropriate to post. Thanks for your beautiful work. I also am committed to doing more big stitch quilting this year…thanks Julie Reuben for the inspiration.

What quilting skills would you like to improve?

And the crowds are crazy! Quilters are the best!

We need more cowbell! (And quilts and blankets!). That cowbell rings loud and proud every time a blanket is finished at a blanket making event!

“I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.” - Tagore

Thanks again to the student-athletes at the University of Utah who spent an hour or two from their busy lives as students and world-class athletes to support Wrap the World with Quilts and serve those who are displaced, suffering and need comfort.

We appreciate the ongoing partnership with the student-athletes at the U.

Thanks so much Ashley Dryer Lear and Liz Prince for their leadership and continued support.

It’s always a win-win. And even better with more cowbell.

Hi all,
We are excited to be at QuiltCon next week collecting quilt donations and rubbing shoulders with some amazing makers and creators. If you have a quilt you’d like to donate please bring it to the show!

There will be three places to drop off quilt donations:

1. On Thursday night we are guests of Windham Fabrics at their QuiltCon Social Hour! (See details on graphic) They will be handing out totes and fabric, have prize drawings and you will have a chance to meet some of their designers. Plus they are partnering with us to make and collect quilts for those in need around the world!

2. Our great friends at Riley Blake will host a quilt donation drop box at their booth #31. You can drop off a quilt donation or grab information about our non-profit .

3. Find us on the vendor floor, we would love to meet you and give you a button and sticker. (Of course, we will be wearing a Rosie outfit… look for the red bandana!)
Come and say hi!

Over the past few months we have received beautiful quilt blocks for the project. We have received 7500 blocks and counting!

Here are a few photos of some of your blocks, sewn into quilt tops, that have made it to Ukraine. Over 30 other countries are also working on the project.

The 2025 sunflower quilt art installation —to show our support for Ukraine— was cut short when Russian drones dropped bombs. They are planning another art installation in 2026.

Thanks to for getting them to Ukraine and spearheading the project with artist Janno
Thanks also to the who will be making our quilt tops into finished quilts.

We are honored to be the US collector of 12.5” x 12.5” quilt blocks. We will be collecting them through the end of 2026.

Blocks can be a sunflower, blue and yellow or made of any bright, happy, colorful fabric. Design of your choice… be creative.
