Understanding stroke risk today means looking beyond age, as lifestyle habits, genetics, and underlying health conditions can impact anyone.

Dr. Mohammad Shoari shares with KSL.com that strokes are increasing among younger adults, even teenagers.

Proactive health habits, routine screenings, and awareness of symptoms like those in the FAST acronym are key to reducing risk and improving recovery outcomes.

Increasingly people 20-40 and even children and teenagers are having strokes. Parents should pay attention because these numbers indicate a troubling trend.

With National Robotics Week underway, we wanted to introduce our da Vinci robot, Ursula. Dr. Broc Durrant uses the robot to perform gallbladder, bowel repair, and other abdominal surgeries.

CommonSpirit Health uses the latest robotic technological systems, offering our surgeons greater precision in minimally invasive surgeries and contributing to better patient outcomes.

We’re proud to present grants totaling $36,000 to NavajoStrong and The Refuge Utah. NavajoStrong provides resources and supplies to members of the Navajo Nation. The Refuge Utah supports women and children in crisis, particularly those who are victims of domestic abuse and need help with emergency housing or relocation assistance and comprehensive support services.

These grants reflect our commitment to community, equity, and positive change. Congratulations to these two community partners - the work strengthens our communities, and we’re honored to support their missions.

It's Doctors' Day! Today, we celebrate the incredible healthcare heroes who dedicate their lives to our well-being. But beyond the clinic and the scrubs, these remarkable individuals are also passionate people with vibrant lives and diverse interests.

Whether they're hitting the slopes, exploring nature, or honing their craft in the workshop, these glimpses into their personal lives remind us that our doctors are real people, with families, hobbies, and a deep connection to the community they serve.

During Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to recognize our amazing endoscopy team who perform screening coloscopies every week!

Colorectal cancer screening can help detect cancer early when it is most treatable. Screening is recommended at age 45, but some may need screening sooner based on risk factors. Talk to your doctor about getting your screening done and we will be here to help when you need us.

The March Mischief challenge at Holy Cross Hospital - Mountain Point was a great success thanks to the People Team Committee. Gnomes were hidden around the hospital, and Mariah from Patient Access was the first to find one of our gnome friends, following Rilie and Dorinda.

From a mission to educate to a mission to heal, the transformation of the sisters of Holy Cross! This Catholic Sisters Week, we’re honored to share the inspiring journey that began in Salt Lake City in 1875.

Two Sisters arrived with plans for schools, but the dire reality of the mining camps quickly shifted their focus. The miners needed a hospital, and the Sisters provided it. Their original 13-bed facility in a simple home soon outgrew its space, leading to a new, larger hospital and the foundational establishment of a school of nursing.

They didn't just build buildings; they built a legacy of care, education, and community resilience that endures to this day.
