We’re excited to share a major milestone: our hospital has reached 150 consecutive days with zero hospital‑acquired infections! To celebrate this achievement—and to recognize the diligent, consistent work of every person in our hospital—we hosted a special appreciation breakfast for our team.

Today, HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital officially broke ground on the new HCA Florida Alico Emergency — a state-of-the-art, 24/7 freestanding ER coming to South Fort Myers!

This $21.5M facility will feature 11 exam rooms, advanced imaging and onsite lab services. Opening Fall 2026, it will bring high‑quality emergency care even closer to the fast‑growing communities we serve.

This morning, teams from our hospital and our sister facility, HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, took time away from daily schedules to give back to the community. Together, we volunteered at the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, lending hands to support the fight against hunger across our region.

We spent the morning packing food for families who rely on these vital resources. The experience was a meaningful reminder of our commitment to caring for our community—both within our hospital walls and far beyond them.

Food insecurity continues to affect many of our neighbors, and we’re grateful for partners like the Harry Chapin Food Bank who help ensure families have access to nourishing meals. We’re proud to stand alongside them and the generous community volunteers we met today in this important work.
