Early detection of breast cancer can save lives. It all starts with knowing your personal risk factors and getting screened regularly. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we participated in events to raise awareness- even getting to host the Big Pink Chair at our hospital! Staff across our departments came together to walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in support of all those touched by breast cancer.

Knee pain is a common symptom that can be caused by anything from sports injuries to arthritis. You can usually treat the pain at home with self-care measures. Physical therapy and knee braces can also help relief the pain. But if the pain persists or gets worse, it might be time to see an orthopedic doctor.

According to the CDC, the rate of total knee replacements has increased in both men and women aged 45 and older with more than 790,000 procedures. Following a relatively short period of recovery, patients usually return to a high level of activity.
