The Meadows of Leipsic would like to introduce our February 2026 Employee Spotlight, Cheyanne Fleck Nichols.

“I was born in Lima and have lived in Leipsic my whole life. I have a 2.5-year-old daughter, Amelia with another girl on the way as well as a supporting husband named Hayden.

I had originally started in the kitchen in 2018 while in my senior year of high school. Since then I have moved from kitchen, to RCA, TNA during COVID and then went on to get my STNA after COVID. While working as an STNA I went back to school for my LPN and graduated in 2023 and had my daughter. In 2024 I went back for my RN and graduated in May of 2025 with my RN. In January of 2025 I also took the position of Director of Assisted Living.

Working at the meadows has always felt like home and my meadows family has truly become family after the last 8 years. They have supported me through every step in my growth journey. From the kitchen dishwasher up to nursing management, everyone has cheered me on and helped me every step of the way and I couldn’t be more grateful to work where I do.
Outside of work I enjoy time just spending time with my family and friends and doing whatever life brings our way.”

Love was in the air—and on the canvas! 💕🎨

Our residents spent the day painting a special craft inspired by the theme of love, and the results were as beautiful as the smiles behind them. From bright colors to heartfelt details, each piece reflected creativity, connection, and the joy of spending time together. Moments like these remind us that love is felt in every brushstroke and shared laugh. ❤️

Our independent living residents had a great time getting creative with winter beaded pens and snowflake suncatchers. Craft activities like this are a wonderful way to express creativity, socialize, and enjoy a calm afternoon together. The finished projects turned out beautifully and were a joy to create. ❄️❤️

Our last happy hour was all about 1950’s fun with a sock hop theme! Residents enjoyed classic music, good company, and plenty of smiles as we celebrated the spirit of the decade. Events like this bring back special memories and make for such a fun way to spend time together 🎶✨

Creative Cooking is always something our residents look forward to, and this past Friday did not disappoint. Together, our Health Center and Assisted Living residents made mini pizzas, getting creative with toppings and enjoying the smells, laughs, and teamwork along the way. The best part was enjoying the finished pizzas together 🍕💙

It was an absolute pleasure raising funds for Su***de Awareness of Putnam County. For this year’s Hope for the Holidays campaign, we chose a cause near and dear to our hearts. Thank you to Jay Taylor for joining us and graciously accepting this donation on behalf of the organization.

Last week, we gathered together to celebrate the season at our employee Christmas party. It was such a nice opportunity to relax, laugh, and spend time with an incredible team that works so hard every day for our residents.
