Lemont Active Chiro – Shockwave Spotlight

Patient: 55 year-old female

Primary Complaint: constant, stiff and achy right hip pain with significant reduction of motion; complaint grade 7-8 on a scale of 0-10; diagnosed with severe degenerative osteoarthritis; previous total hip replacement of left hip and is recommended total hip replacement of right hip; patient was reluctant to total hip surgery and wanted to explore other options at this time to prolong surgery; patient had significant pain with walking which drastically effected daily routine

# of treatments: 8 treatments over 6 weeks

Outcome: pain reduced to 3 on a scale of 0-10; frequency of pain decreased to less than 40% of time awake; able to walk without a limp and able to climb stairs with minimal pain

Primary Complaint: frequent, deep, stiff and achy right shoulder pain; complaint grade 5 on a scale of 0-10; 6 months post-surgical right labrum surgery; decrease in strength and range of motion; unable to wrestle at full strength; referred for shockwave by chiropractor
# of treatments: 3 treatments over 2 weeks
Outcome: reduction pain to 1 on a scale of 0-10; increased range of motion; was able to hard drill at wrestling practice with minimal pain
