Happy Sri Rama Navami, the ninth day starting from Ugadi, beginning of the Spring the Hindu lunar new year. The period between these two festivals is known as Chaitra Navratri (or Vasanta Navratri), a nine-night spring festival that marks the birthday of Lord Rama.
Rama, the ancient idol of heroic ages, the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband, the ideal father, and above all the ideal king, this Rama has been presented before us by the great sage Valmiki. No language can be purer, none chaste, none more beautiful, and at the same time simpler, than the language in which the great poet has depicted the journey of Rama (Ramayana). This is an epic one must read to understand the depth and clarity of meaning of life. Rama also known as Maryada Purushotam, is not just an object of worship but an inspiration to rise beyond one’s limitations for generations to come.

His divine and noble choices, his righteousness, his teachings of goodness and dharma, and his fair judgments as a king have taught the world many valuable lessons of humanity.
