Today is National Siblings Day! 💙 We want to celebrate the impactful role of siblings in autism.

Being a sibling in this role comes with a unique kind of love and responsibility. It can mean learning patience earlier than most, stepping into moments of teaching, and navigating situations that others may not fully understand. These siblings become a constant source of support and comfort while being the ultimate role model.

Today is for the siblings who show up every day with love, strength, and responsibility. You are a more important part of this journey than you realize and we give our utmost appreciation for you.

A whole lot of fun packed into one week!! AFTS magic at its finest! 💛✨

Spring has brought us something extra special to celebrate! 🌷On March 20th, Lillie officially became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)! Proud is an understatement! ✨💛

Lillie’s journey with AFTS has been incredible to watch. She started at our Lenexa location as an RBT in November 2024 and brought her talents to our Shawnee location as an Autism Specialist in July 2025. Now, she steps into this new chapter as a BCBA, and we couldn’t be happier for her!!

Lillie is driven, hardworking, and deeply compassionate. She shows up each day with determination, heart, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of our kiddos and team.

We’re so grateful she's continuing to grow her career with AFTS and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she accomplishes in this next chapter! 🌸

Autism From The Start® is a playful and purposeful early intervention ABA treatment center for children with autism. We create a personalized path for your child, pairing data with compassionate teaching--right from the start.

Our one-to-one early intervention services are covered by insurance companies, giving your child medically necessary treatment that helps them thrive.

We provide a family-centered, happy and safe environment to help your child connect to and communicate with the people and world around them every day.

Our center, the Autism From The Start® Children’s House, is located in a historic home in Lenexa, Kansas. This warm and charming environment immediately put children and parents to ease. The house is set in an inviting outdoor space with a playground and butterfly garden. This outdoor classroom is a fully interactive learning opportunity, helping us stimulate growth in cognitive, social, communication, and sensory-motor skills.
