Are you using crutches or a cane on this rainy day? Here are some safety tips/tricks:

* Be mindful of all surfaces: Exercise extreme caution on any wet or potentially slippery surfaces, including:
* Wet tile or linoleum floors.
* Painted crosswalks.
* Marble or smooth stone surfaces.
* Wet leaves or puddles.
* Take slow cautions steps and avoid moving too fast
* Remember to lean on your hands and use that weight to stabilize you
* Choose appropriate footwear: Choose shoes or boots with non-slip rubber soles and good ankle support
* Try trading out the rubber tips for those with a more anti-slip design. See the comments for an example. You can get them on Amazon for less than $20

Final push if you wanted to get your items in! Our TOYS FOR TOTS donation bin will leave to be distributed by the Marine Corps tomorrow at 2 PM. We are open until 4 PM today and will open tomorrow at 9 AM. You have been INCREDIBLE throughout the TOYS FOR TOTS drive!!! We cannot thank you enough for partnering with us!

Jayhawk Foot and Ankle Clinic has partnered with TOYS FOR TOTS in hopes to bring Christmas to children in need in our community.

All donations can be brough into our clinic Monday-Friday between the hours of 9-4. Please drop off by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8th.

TOYS FOR TOTS APPROVED TOYS
1. Must be new and in the original container.
2. The toy must not be gift wrapped.
3. We cannot accept any toys that resemble weapons. (NERF guns are ok).
4. The toy can now be a stuffed animal.
5. Age groups are: 0 - 2yrs, 3 - 5yrs, 6 - 7yrs, 8 - 10yrs and 11 -16yrs.
6. Please keep in mind, this is the Only gift some of these kids will receive for the holidays.
