“Our First December in the Village”
We found our way to this peaceful village
That lies just west of Pflumm.
We’ve chosen to ‘age in place’ – at this place.
Where many others before us have already come.

A wealth of opportunities are provided
From which we can select
The choices we make, and our lifestyles
Are regarded with respect.

December offers seasonal celebrations and events.
Concerts by various groups, holiday parties and more.
A pageant presented the Nativity from the view of a cow,
Such as you’ve never seen before.

The beauty of colorful lights, as seen
Everywhere this time of year.
Residences adorned with garland of green,
Yard ornaments: snowmen and reindeer.

The Christmas narrative proclaims the
Words “peace… and good will”.
That spirit we found here from the beginning
And we experience it here, still.

December will pass; lights and ornaments
Put away, set aside for another year.
But in our village, good will and mutual affection
Will continue to linger here..

I am thrilled to announce that Assisted Living has once again achieved a deficiency-free state survey! Our surveyor exited today with zero findings, continuing our 15-year perfect streak!
This is an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of the passion, pride, and dedication you all bring to our residents and community every day. Not many teams can say they’ve gone 15 years in a row without a deficiency, that puts you in a league of your own!
Thank you for the heart, teamwork, and excellence you show in everything you do. We are so proud of you and congratulations on another outstanding survey!

residents Jack and Marilyn Gregory were among the first clergy couples in the Methodist Church to unite their callings in sacred partnership. Serving side by side, their shared ministry became a living testament to the covenant of marriage and their unwavering devotion to God’s work. Their journey unfolded during a time of transformation for women in the Church—a movement that continues today.

Lakeview Village in Lenexa is proud to announce it has been recognized by US News & World Report as a 2025 Best CCRC, Best Assisted Living, Best Short Stay Rehabilitation and Best Long Term Care.

Lakeview Village has also received the High Performing recognition for Food and Dining, Activities and Enrichment, Management and Staff and Feels Like Home for Independent Living. It also received High Performing recognition for Caregiving, Activities and Enrichment and Feels Like Home for Assisted Living.

US News and World Report evaluated over 3,800 communities in the United States. Communities are evaluated on several criteria, including resident and family members’ satisfaction with safety, care, community management and staff, value and other services and amenities. State surveys are evaluated for Short Stay Rehabilitation and Long Term Care.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to Lakeview Village’s commitment to serving seniors as well as fulfilling a mission to be the best place to live, work and grow
