The Early Learning Center, Waldorf and PPMD are hosting a virtual training on December 5th to discuss challenging behaviors of preschoolers.

The Maryland Commission for LGBTQIA+ Affairs in partnership with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore are conducting a survey to explore the needs of LGBTQIA+ Marylanders. LGBTQIA+ Maryland residents age 18 and older are invited to participate and complete an important needs assessment that will take approximately 15 minutes. The information gathered will help guide policy recommendations and future programs.

The holidays can be especially hard on children after losing someone close to them. We will be hosting a Surviving the Holidays session specifically for kids aged 7 to 16 here at the Hospice House on December 6th at 9am.

Activities will include various crafts and hands-on experiences interspersed with talks about how they can work through their grief during this complicated season.

**No cost to attend, but registration is required to participate.**

We know the holidays can be a tough time, especially after losing someone close to you. To try and help you through this season, will be hosting a special group called Surviving the Holidays here at our Hospice House on Saturday, November 22nd from 9-11am.

This particular session will be geared towards adults, as we will have one for the kiddos starting in December.

The Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) will be hosting an Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training on November 20, 2025. See the details below for more information.

Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based program that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. This interactive training helps build skills to provide initial support and connect individuals to appropriate care.
