Health & Harmony

Health & Harmony Health N Harmony will focus on all aspects of health for people of all ages anywhere in the U.S., Ca Regarding better health, have you heard of Redox signaling?

I am an entrepreneur whose goal is to help others achieve their goals in life in four areas: better health, saving the environment, financial freedom and personal freedom. Let me help you reach YOUR goals in whichever of the four areas above is important to you. This is a breakthrough technology that replicates what your cells are already making: Redox signaling molecules! These molecules communicate with broken cells telling them to repair or replace themselves. Unfortunately, we LOSE 1% of these signaling molecules per year AFTER PUBERTY! Though cells continue to make them, our bodies never catch up. So we age and get diseases because there are not enough of these signaling molecules to help our bodies to heal themselves. NOW, we can add more! Not only can you look and feel younger, you can help others and earn a significant income. I look forward to helping you improve your physical and financial health. Hello to all,
I recently found out about an extraordinary company that has replicated signalling cells called Redox molecules. Science has said that this was IMPOSSIBLE to do. Well it's been done! The is the science breakthrough for the 21st Century. The Edison light was that for the 20th C. It took 20 years to replicate these Redox molecules.

So what are Redox molecules? They grow in our bodies. Their job is to repair our cells, as well as any "broken" DNA. Unfortunately, as we age, we lose 10% of these special cells each decade. Now there is a way to put them back in our bodies!

This is The Real Cause of Alzheimer’s – and It’s Preventable

From: https://www.awakeningfromalzheimers.com/this-is-the-real-cause-of-alzheimers-and-its-preventable/

After all the money that’s been poured into research on Alzheimer’s, much about the disease remains controversial or just totally mystifying to researchers. And yet important progress is being made, much of it in just the last several years.

Now researchers at Harvard say that they’ve discovered what’s probably a key cause of this memory-destroying condition. And if you make use of what they’ve learned, you can greatly lower your risk for the disease or actually prevent it.

The Mitochondria Connection

The scientists at Harvard focused on how the behavior of the brain’s mitochondria – the organelles in neurons that provide the cells with energy – are linked to the development of Alzheimer’s.

In so doing, they departed from the prevailing idea about Alzheimer’s in older people – the belief that it results when a buildup of a harmful protein called amyloid beta destroys neurons. The Harvard researchers note that the amyloid beta theory hasn’t produced any benefits for dealing with Alzheimer’s disease.

“A lot of people are realizing now that we have been focusing on the usual suspects — genetics and proteins ― and that’s brought us to a point where, despite billions of dollars in research, we are no closer to a disease-modifying therapy,” says researcher Jane Driver.

Instead, Dr. Driver and her colleagues point out that as we age our mitochondria tend to malfunction. The DNA in aging mitochondria are harmfully altered by mutations, and the mitochondria produce destructive free radicals whose oxidative activity chews up pieces of neurons.

This type of mitochondria “dysregulation,” Dr. Driver points out, is a natural part of aging. But in the brain, when impaired neurons with warped mitochondria start to predominate, healthy neurons get deprived of nutrients and begin to die off. Soon, the impaired neurons also die.

However, the Harvard researchers say you can keep your mitochondria healthier, and the brain functioning effectively, by exercising and eating a more nutritious diet – “a healthy diet and sufficient exercise, are perhaps the most important preventive interventions for AD (Alzheimer’s disease) and a host of other age-related diseases.”1

They also suggest that periodic fasting may help the brain’s mitochondria stay on track by inducing these organelles to use fatty acids (instead of the usual glucose) in their energy-producing functions.2

“If you take good care of your blood pressure, if you exercise regularly and eat a lower-calorie diet ― all those things contribute to metabolic (and brain) health,” Dr. Driver says.3

So, don’t fear Alzheimer’s – do something about it and lower your risk. Trade in processed foods for fruits and vegetables. Get outdoors for vigorous walks. Your brain will love you for it. And consider what you stand to lose if you don’t do something. . .

Death Rate from Alzheimer’s Leaps

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the death rate for Alzheimer’s has jumped a frightening 55 percent since 1999.4 It is now the sixth leading cause of death in the US and the fifth leading cause among people over the age of 65. The highest death rate from Alzheimer’s is in the Southeast.

The good news is that, while the absolute number of dementia deaths is increasing, this is largely due to the growing percentage of seniors in the population. An individual’s risk of getting Alzheimer’s has actually gone down. Hard to believe, considering the number of people with Alzheimer’s, but your chances of avoiding it are just a bit better than they used to be.

Hello everyone,

Check this out ~ especially those of us in New England!

Vitamin D and Depression

Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin. However, with skin cancer, sun allergies, and just the heat alone—being outside long enough to get the needed amount of Vitamin D isn’t possible.

Vitamin D plays a role in serotonin activity; low levels of this vitamin can cause sad mood, low energy, irritability, and depression. According to national researchers, major depression disorders affects about 25% of women and 17% of men worldwide. Seven percent of the American population experiences some form of depression. The World Health Organization ranks depression as fourth on the disease list. Depression not only is just a sad mood, but the prevalence of depression can lead to job loss, family problems, and su***de.

Season Affective Disorder (SAD) is one major depressive disorder that follows a seasonal pattern when there tends to be less sunshine. Extensive research has provided information that links Vitamin D as one key treatment for SAD, besides counseling and other possible treatments. Vitamin D through supplementation is not only simple, but also less risk for those wanting to avoid direct sun contact.

But how much and what kind of D is best? The richest source of D3 can be found in fatty fish, fish oils, and eggs, while processors also put vitamin D in milk products and some ready-to-eat cereals. Eating enough of these foods to get all the vitamin D you need though can also pose a problem due to watching your weight, availability, or allergies.

The Mayo Clinic states that adults needs at least 600 IU of Vitamin D daily, and 2,000 IU per day is safe and may help those who have extremely low levels of vitamin D, or other health issues that can benefit from higher doses of Vitamin D.

“One of the most common conditions experienced by adults and young people is occasional depression. This is exemplified by an attitude that “I don’t feel like doing what I normally would like to do.” It is normal for someone to feel blue or have an attitude of melancholy from time to time due to undesirable situations. It is another thing to see a black cloud cast over the future. Some people actually develop a sort of regular “gloom and doom” attitude if depression is allowed to persist. Nutritional deficiencies or fast foods often provoke such feelings. Exposure to household chemicals and food additives may also contribute. If a cause for the depressed mood can be identified, then the cause should be treated. Menopause can also increase the need for estrogen stabilization to control mild depression.

Fortunately mild depression is one of the most treatable mental conditions. The first step toward a cure is to recognize the symptoms:

A sullen mood
Feelings of hopelessness, guilt and anxiety
Loss of interest in things that used to be pleasurable
Change in appetite
Change in sleeping patterns
Inability to concentrate
Lack of energy or feeling run down

Nutritional research indicates that low levels of omega-3 fatty acids in the nervous system correlate with a higher risk of depression.

Depression is a serious disease that can’t be taken lightly. While vitamin D is definitely one aid to helping overcome depression and keep the serotonin levels high to prevent further issues, professional help may be needed at the onset.

Immune Support That Works

by Raymond Francis

Raymond Francis, D.Sc., M.Sc., RNC, is an MIT graduate and a chemist by training. He is an internationally acclaimed leader in the field of optimal health maintenance and a pioneer in transforming our failed disease-care system to an effective health-care system. Raymond has been cited as “one of the few scientists who has achieved a breakthrough understanding of health and disease.” Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell (the sixth man to walk on the moon) called him a “brilliant advanced thinker and an international treasure.”

As I am writing this, we are still in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Few Americans have ever experienced anything like this. Millions are unemployed, streets are empty, stores are devoid of toilet paper, not to mention many food items. Unless you have been living under a rock, this pandemic has got your attention. But look on it as an opportunity—a wake-up call to pay attention to your health, to learn how to choose health, and to become a healthier and stronger you.

It doesn’t matter what the infection is. Whether it be the common cold, flu, coronavirus, or something else, the single most important factor in whether you will get sick, how sick you will get, and how fast you recover is this: the state of your immunity. Not everyone who is exposed to a virus gets sick. The stronger your immunity, the less likely you are to get sick, the less severe your illness will be, and the shorter your recovery time.

Few are aware of the nineteenth-century debate regarding infections. Chemist Louis Pasteur advocated that germs cause disease, that the cause of disease is infectious microbes invading the body, impairing the functioning and structures of different organ systems and wreaking havoc.

Pasteur’s contemporary, physiologist Claude Bernard said not so fast. Bernard maintained that the body becomes susceptible to infectious agents only if the internal balance—or homeostasis as we now call it—is disturbed. Homeostasis in the state in which the body is in balance, communicating with itself, self-regulating, and self-repairing. When you are in homeostasis, you are healthy, and when you are not in homeostasis, you are diseased. Did you ever wonder why when some bug is “going around” some get sick and others don’t? It’s because the bug is not the cause. The people who get sick are those whose internal balance is the most disturbed—who are out of homeostasis—who are already diseased. Pasteur is said to have renounced his germ theory on his death-bed, saying that “Bernard is right. The microbe is nothing. The (internal) environment is everything.”

That was in the 19th century. In the 20th century, microbiologist René Dubos agreed with Bernard saying that microbes become the cause of disease only when a disturbance upsets the equilibrium of the body. Yet, the outmoded germ theory is the basis for our treatment of infections and the foundation of entire industries producing antibiotics, antivirals, and vaccines. Given how much money there is in selling these products, we may be stuck with the nonsensical germ theory for a long time to come.

So there, in a nutshell, you have it. Germs don’t cause infections, you do! You cause infections by creating an internal environment that invites infection. So, to prevent and cure infections, it is not the germ but this environment we should be paying attention to. The objective should be to maintain and/or restore homeostasis. Personally, I am not concerned about the coronavirus or any other virus. I consider myself virus-proof, while at age 83, I am in the so-called high-risk group.

Unfortunately, rather than supporting our immunity, most of us sabotage our immunity. If you are willing to make only one change in your diet to improve your immunity, get refined sugar out of your life. Even a couple of teaspoons of sugar is enough to suppress the body’s immune responses for up to six to eight hours after ingestion, reducing the ability of white blood cells to kill pathogens by up to 50 percent. This means if you are constantly snacking on sweets or drinking soda, your immune system will almost never function at full capacity.

Also important are adequate sleep and exercise. Missing even one night of sleep will depress your immunity and getting less than seven hours of sleep on a regular basis will do the same. Regular, moderate amounts of exercise improve immune function, reducing the risk of infection. Environmental toxins, including the fluoride in your toothpaste and drinking water also suppress immunity. Vaccinations, flu shots, antibiotics, alcohol, and numerous prescription drugs, including statin drugs for cholesterol, are all immunosuppressive.

It is difficult for a virus to make you sick. Numerous obstacles must be surmounted in order to cause an infection and the virus can be stopped at each of those obstacles. For example, a virus must be able to attach itself to a cell membrane, be able to pe*****te the membrane, then replicate inside the cell, and spread the newly created viruses to other cells.

If you want immune support that works, there are certain nutrients that provide obstacles to the viral infection, and you must supply them in adequate amounts. While every essential nutrient supports your health and your immunity, there are several that are especially useful and should be supplemented. This list includes vitamin D.

Vitamin D stimulates immune cells to produce powerful antibacterial and antiviral compounds that kill invading bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It is noteworthy that nations with the highest mortality rates from coronavirus—Italy, Spain and France—also have the lowest average vitamin D levels among countries affected by the pandemic. Black Americans are dying of coronavirus at a higher rate than whites. But it is well known that blacks suffer more vitamin D deficiency than whites.

Sadly, vitamin D deficiency is a pandemic. A study of over 2000 college athletes found that only five percent were getting the RDA for vitamin D, and the RDA is too low for optimal health. Most people should be supplementing with at least 5000 IU per day, and for many 10,000 IU would be even better. Test your vitamin D status and keep your blood level in the upper half of the normal range.

Vitamin C is the queen of this group. Using high doses of vitamin C to both prevent and combat virus-caused illness is well-established science. Virtually any viral infection can be dramatically slowed or completely stopped with high doses of vitamin C. Taking a bowel tolerance amount of vitamin C in divided doses throughout the day is a clinically proven antiviral. My bowel tolerance is 16 grams. That’s how much I take daily, and I don’t get or worry about viral infections.

Zinc is another critical nutrient, and most of us are zinc deficient. A virus cannot replicate without using the machinery and metabolism of a host cell. The replication process produces dramatic biochemical and structural changes in the host cell, damaging the cell while producing more viruses so the infection can spread to other cells. If replication is inhibited, so is the infection. An adequate amount of zinc in a cell is known to inhibit viral replication. I supplement with 50 mg of zinc per day, and someone with an active infection would do better at 75 mg.

Magnesium is another critical nutrient, and most of us are magnesium deficient. Magnesium is one of the most critical minerals for overall health, and virtually every known illness can be associated with a magnesium deficiency. Magnesium has a strong relationship with the immune system in both nonspecific and specific immune responses, and a deficiency interferes with these complex interrelationships. Magnesium is also critical for maintaining normal pH in our cells. Normal pH is critical for maintaining homeostasis. Changes in intracellular pH can affect virtually all cellular processes including immune response. Abnormal pH both encourages the growth of pathogens and results in tissue/organ damage, weakening the immune system. Measure your first-morning urine pH daily and keep it in the normal range of 6.5 to 7.5. Supplement with as much magnesium as needed to maintain normal urine pH. There are many forms of magnesium, each with varying degrees of absorbability and side effects (some even cause loose bowels). How do you know which to trust? A minimum of 400 mg per day is recommended, while many take 1000 to 2000 mg for optimal health.

Quercetin is a powerful immune booster and a broad-spectrum antiviral. Importantly, quercetin inhibits the ability of a virus to infect cells as well as inhibiting viral replication in already infected cells. It also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. It is cytokine storm activity that appears to be the cause of death with these viral infections. I normally take 4000 mg per day, but during the coronavirus pandemic, I am taking 8000 mg.

If you want immune support that works, you must be careful not to sabotage your immunity with things like sugar, flu shots, and statin drugs. Then, if you support your immunity with the above nutrients along with a high-quality multivitamin, you will be well on your way to creating a virus-proof body.

There have been many COVID-19 suggestions by the media, as well as by doctors, to use disinfectants like Clorox and Lysol. HORRIBLE suggestions! You may not know this but many of the leftover chemicals from WW2 and from the Viet Nam war are now in U.S. cleaning products. These products have been banned from import into European countries for over 25 years and in Canada for over 15 years! We are being subjected to terrible products here in this country, in my opinion, mostly due to Corporate GREED.

CLOROX ingredients: Sodium Hypochlorite: Corrosive. Sensitizer: Can be fatal if swallowed. Eye, skin, and respiratory irritant. Especially hazardous to people with heart conditions or asthma.
LYSOL ingredients: Dioxin; Carcinogen. 500,000 times more deadly than DDT Ethyl Alcohol: Eye, skin, respiratory tract irritant. (FYI, Dioxin is a chemical called "Agent Orange" which was dropped on North Viet Nam to kill people.)

Europe has done a 20 year study (released in 2018) of the effects of cleaning products on the human body when cleaning a home/business only once a week. Result: LUNG Damage being the same as if the person cleaning was smoking a pack of ci******es daily for 20 years! Here is a link to this study (pages 12-17):
