Meet Rachel ✨🧘🏼♀️ .c.ridgeway
Rachel has been practicing yoga since 2005, first discovering the practice in college as a grounding tool to manage stress, support mental well-being, and reconnect with herself. What began as a personal practice quickly became a lifelong passion, leading her to complete her classical yoga teacher training in 2014 under Dawn Motherheart at Motherheart Yoga in Philadelphia, PA.
Her teaching is rooted in the traditional foundations of yoga—breath, mindful movement, and self-study—while remaining accessible and supportive for modern bodies and busy lives. Rachel blends classical yoga principles with ashtanga- and vinyasa-inspired flows, thoughtfully balancing strength and ease. Classes often wind down with longer-held, supported postures that allow the body to soften, release tension, and fully relax.
At (B)alanced, Rachel’s classes are an invitation to slow down, move with intention, and tune into what your body truly needs that day. She encourages radical self-acceptance and meets students exactly where they are, creating a welcoming space where everyone can breathe, move, and feel better—without pressure or expectation.
