As the year winds down and the holiday lights go up, I am reminded of the incredible light within each of you.

The holidays can be a mix of emotions, but they are also a reminder of renewal. At the Triumphant Women's Academy, we know that every challenge faced is a stepping stone to a higher version of ourselves.

Take a moment this week to honor your own courage. Breathe in the peace of the season and breathe out anything that no longer serves you. You are entering this new chapter stronger than ever before.

Happy Holidays to my sisters in triumph! 💜

When the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year" feels heavy.

If you are finding it hard to fully catch your breath this December, I want you to know: You are not alone, and you are not doing this wrong.

We are currently navigating a perfect storm. We have the usual pressure of the holidays—the to-do lists, the family dynamics, the expectations of joy. But layered on top of that is the weight of a world that feels incredibly chaotic right now.

I’m Lori Tushek, founder of the Triumphant Women’s Academy. As a survivor turned thrivor, I know firsthand that when external stress meets internal history, it can feel paralyzing.

Here is the truth about trauma: It loves to blur the lines.

When stress gets high—like it is right now—it is easy to slide back into old patterns of survival. The most dangerous trick trauma plays is confusing who you are with what happened to you.

It whispers that because you are struggling, you are weak.

It suggests that because you feel the chaos of the world deeply, you are unstable.

It tries to convince you that your wounds are your identity.

But they aren’t.

Your history is a chapter; it is not the whole book. And your sensitivity to the world right now? That isn’t a flaw. It’s a signal that you are a feeling, caring human being trying to process a lot of noise.

At the Academy, we believe that true triumph isn't about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about learning to separate your soul from your story, so you can stand steady even when the world feels shaky.

Let’s take a collective breath right now. 🌬️

👇 Tell me in the comments: What is ONE small boundary or act of kindness you are gifting yourself this week to protect your peace?

Are you tired of feeling weighed down by stress or past trauma, just wishing you could feel light and free?

It’s not a wish, it’s a process. I teach a 3-step proven formula for this inside my academy, and I am the one who will show you exactly how to use it to reclaim your peace.

Hi, I'm Lori, founder of the Triumphant Women's Academy. As an author, energy practitioner, speaker, and a survivor turned thrivor, I didn't just learn the path from trauma to triumph—I walked it.

You can recover your emotional freedom. The journey from "ash" to "triumph" starts with small, powerful actions.

Here are three tips you can use today to begin feeling lighter:
✨ 1. Practice the 3-Second Pause.
When you feel a wave of stress or overwhelm rising, just... pause. Stop everything for only three seconds. This tiny gap is often all it takes to break the momentum of a downward spiral. It puts you back in the driver's seat, not your reaction.
✨ 2. Anchor in the "Right Now."
Stress and trauma often pull us into the past (regret) or the future (anxiety). To reclaim your peace, anchor yourself in the present. Name five things you can see in the room. Feel your feet on the floor. This simple grounding technique tells your nervous system, "In this exact moment, I am okay."
✨ 3. Use "Intentional Breath."
You cannot be in a state of panic and a state of deep slow breathing at the same time.

When you feel that tightness in your chest, intentionally shift your breath. Inhale slowly for a count of four, hold for four, and exhale slowly for a count of six. This physically calms your body and helps you find your center.

These tips are just the beginning. They are the first steps on the path. My full, 3-step formula is the complete roadmap to help you rise, recover your peace, and feel incredibly light for good.

Are you ready to stop surviving and start thriving?

Feeling the holiday pressure rising? 🌡️

The commercials say this is the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year," but for many of us, it feels more like the "Most Overwhelming Time of the Year." Between the expectations, the grief that often surfaces during holidays, and the general state of the world right now—it makes sense if your sparkle feels a little dim.

When the noise gets loud and the to-do list gets long, you don’t need a week-long vacation to reset (though that would be nice!). You just need a "Triumphant Pause."

Here are 3 quick ways to reset your nervous system right now:

The 4-7-8 Breath: Inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8.

Grounding: Find 5 things you can see and 4 things you can touch.

Step Away: Physically leave the room for one minute of silence.

❓ What is your "Emergency Reset" button? Do you take a walk, pray, call a friend, or just hide in the bathroom for 5 minutes? (We won't judge!) Let us know below!👇

The Reality Check...Let’s be real: Is it "Tradition" or is it "Obligation"?

I was thinking today about how many holiday traditions are actually just trauma responses wrapped in tinsel.

We force ourselves into debt to buy affection. We sit at tables where we feel unsafe because "it's family." We eat until we are uncomfortable to numb the anxiety.

What if this year, we decided that if it hurts our mental health, it’s not a tradition worth keeping?

Tell me below: What is one holiday "tradition" you are secretly dreading—or one you’ve bravely decided to cancel this year? ⬇️

3 Reasons Why the Holidays Hit Harder After Trauma ❄️❤️‍🩹

Hey everyone, I’m Lori from the Triumphant Women’s Academy. I am the founder of the academy. I am also a survivor turned thrivor and I understand how difficult and stressful the holidays can feel.

If you are feeling overwhelmed right now, it’s not because you aren’t "festive enough." It’s because trauma magnifies stress. Here is why:

1️⃣ Hypervigilance: Crowds, noise, and chaos put your brain on high alert, leaving you exhausted.
2️⃣ Grief: The holidays highlight who—or what—we have lost.
3️⃣ The Mask: It takes immense energy to pretend everything is "fine" when it isn't.

You deserve support that goes deeper and more comforting than a bubble bath.

We are a community of women who are rewriting their stories. You don't have to just "get through" the holidays—you deserve to feel safe within them.

"WHO ARE YOU WITHOUT YOUR STORY?"

This isn't just a philosophical exercise; it is a radical interruption of the ego.

For so many of us, our identity is tightly wrapped around our "story." The narrative of what we survived, who hurt us, what we achieved, and where we failed. We wear our past trauma, our stress, and our defined roles like armor. We think this armor protects us, but often, it just imprisons us in a loop of old pain and recycled reactions.

We become "the one who always has to be strong," or "the one who was left behind." We confuse what happened to us with the essence of who we are.

The profundity of this question lies in its terrifying freedom. If you put down the heavy baggage of your history—just for a moment—what is left standing in the silence?

Breaking free doesn't mean the past never happened. It means realizing you are bigger than it and that it doesn't define you. It means no longer giving your power away.

The triumph depicted here isn't about winning the game by the old rules. True triumph is realizing you are the author, not just a character trapped in an old chapter.

When you detach from the story, the stress loses its grip. You stop needing your pain to validate your existence. You step into a present moment where you are defined not by your story, but by the truth of what you are.

It’s time to put down the weight.
