Mercy has gone pink celebrating women! 🩷

October is a significant month for women's health, primarily because it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), an annual event dedicated to early detection and screenings including Pap Tests.

Thank you for putting your health first! Oct 30 included a Health Fair with nutrition facts and pink treats.

Thanks to the best, pinkest staff for making it all possible! If you missed this opportunity, Pap Tests are available all year!

Thank you to our IT Director Steve Howard for a great Mercy Bible Study! The foundation of Jesus' love is sacrificial. Loving like Jesus is hard. It means prioritizing people over personal ease, and compassion over what's convenient.

Challenge: Write down a relationship that needs more of your sacrifice, a co-worker, spouse, friend. Pray for that person specifically.

WOMEN'S WELLNESS EVENT AT MERCY. October is a significant month for women, not just for wellness but also for the observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For every woman with a cervical cancer screening appointment and/or mammogram, visit the Mercy Wellness Fair.

Who needs a mammogram:
Women aged 40+ are recommended to get mammograms, with the frequency varying by age and risk level, but all women should talk to their provider to determine their personal risk.

Who needs PAP test screening?
Ages 21-65: All women in this age group should be screened regularly.
Age 66+: You may be able to stop screening if you have had negative results in the past. Talk with your provider.

Early detection: Screening can find precancerous lesions before they turn into cancer.

Our IT Director Steve shared a Bible Study about patience today. He is a muskie fisherman and has cast his rod 10,000 times without catching this freshwater fish, the largest in the pike family.

Galatians 5:22: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is not forced but grown.

Here are some of his homemade flies, definitely an art and not forced.
