Notification of Medical Leave: As planned, I will undergo brain surgery later this month and anticipate being out of the office for about 20 weeks starting immediately. I want to assure you that I am committed to returning to work as soon as possible and will make every effort to stay in touch with clients and address any concerns. Any gift certificates will be honored after my return, with expiration dates adjusted accordingly. I appreciate your understanding, patience, and support during this period. Your loyalty is valued, and I look forward to serving you upon my return. If you have an appointment scheduled, please keep it as is, and I will be in touch when I can resume seeing clients. I know im my heart that God is using this for me to learn and have a better understanding of my clients. I know God will allow me to use this experience to ultimately help others. I have been waiting to post this until I see the neuro surgeon on Tuesday but it is getting out and I need to let clients know. I have been diagnosed with chiari malformation. In most cases it never causes issues but unfortunately I'm not one of the lucky cases. It is where a part of your brain extends from your skull into your spinal cord causing fluid build up on your brain. It is horribly painful and debilitating. There are only two treatments for this and my doctor feels that surgery to remove part of my skull and release the pressure on my brain is probably the only thing that will help. I'm hoping and praying for a simpler solution but will not know until Tuesday. Whatever I need to do I will do in order to work and be here for my family. God has this! So to my clients who have been so gracious, Thank you so very much for the prayers and patience. I appreciate you all more than you know. Today I have had to start a medication to get the fluid off my brain that I may have a severe allergic reaction to. Only the day will tell as I have always been highly allergic to the ingredients but it is the only one to try for this situation. Please bear with me during this hard time. Prayers are definitely appreciated. I will be contacting everyone as needed. Love to all! I'm tough, I will be okay.

For all appointments tomorrow please be careful getting out of your vehicle. We have salted our parking lot but as of 5:00 p.m. it was still a sheet of ice. If you feel you need assistance getting into the building we are happy to help, or slip with you, whichever comes first. Lol Seriously though, be safe.
