A little late posting, but we’re so thankful for the turnout for Harvest Fest. We didn’t have a table set up (we were spread out between the Lions Club and the Fire Department tables), but the number of families we saw was amazing! We look forward to seeing y’all again next year!

Fatimah Ishan Carter

Fatimah Ishan Carter, a bright light and beloved member of her family, was born on June 7, 2025, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She peacefully departed this world on October 26, 2025, also in Bowling Green, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

In her brief time with us, Fatimah brought immense joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. As the daughter of Patricia Peterson and Marquise Carter, she was embraced by a family that adored her deeply. Her brothers, Trevor B. Nichols and Dahmayan Riley, held a special bond with her that will forever be remembered.

Fatimah's maternal lineage was marked by the nurturing presence of her grandmother, Brandy Gregory, as well as her step grandparents, Tonya and Brandy Martin. On her paternal side, she was surrounded by the loving support of her grandmother Patricia Carter and her grandfather Tommy Carter. Additionally, her great granny, Carol Ann Thomas, provided warmth and wisdom during her life.

Fatimah was fortunate to have an extended family filled with aunts and uncles who cherished her. Madison Durbin, Ebonie Williams, and Danyell Wright were her aunts, while her uncles Dakota Durbin (Iesha Smith), Dalton Durbin, Alijah Gregory, and Nathaniel Durbin showered her with love and affection. She was also blessed with cousins Deja Wright, Amber Wright, Namari Whitfield, Branson Loggins, and Oaklynn Durbin, who brightened her days.

While her time among us was tragically cut short, the impact of Fatimah's life will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come. She was a precious child whose presence enriched the lives of those around her. Fatimah's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories shared by her loved ones, providing comfort in their time of loss. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

We’ve had a busy week! We started off the week serving a family, then finished it getting some outside work done. We cut down the Bradford Pears in front of our building to make room for our new porch and ramps, and we cut down the trees on the back of the parking lot to prevent any accidents with vehicles. Huge thanks to Sherwin Hunt and Joe O’Neal for the help! We’re so thankful to be able to serve such a wonderful community!
