Today, while on a boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty with the fam, my most favorite stone companion (a gorgeous petrified wood specimen that I fondly called my “pocket tree”) fell and cracked in two. 😞

On a metaphysical level I know it means that it has served its purpose, and that I no longer need its grounding presence. But man, I’m not sure I was ready to release it yet. I’ve rarely gone anywhere without it for 2 years. It has helped me get back into my body so many times during moments of anxiety, heartbreak, and confusion. I really am going to miss this anchor in my pocket.

Crafty friends, any creative ideas for what I can do with the pieces? They are quite chunky, about a finger thick.
