The sweetest kind of morning at CMMC 🍰 ✨

Today’s bake sale hosted by the CMMC Woman’s Hospital Association brought homemade treats, warm smiles, and a whole lot of community spirit to campus.

Huge thanks to WHA for all they do to support patients, families, and programs here at CMMC, and for brightening our Friday with something delicious. 💙

💙 Small acts of care can make a big difference.

Maine College of Health Professions students and faculty spent time at Auburn’s Drop-In Center, offering foot care to people in our community who are experiencing homelessness. What started as simple foot baths quickly became something more — connection, comfort, and dignity.

Students from sonography, radiologic technology, and nursing worked side by side, while Trisha Dubois, BSN, provided specialized foot and nail care. Faculty and a medical student rounded out the team, even offering on-site sonography services when needed.

For the students, it was hands-on learning. For the people they served, it was a moment of real compassion.

We’re incredibly proud of this team for showing what caring for our community truly looks like. 💙

🌟 Celebrating Healthy Androscoggin’s SNAP-Ed team!
We’re proud to share that their hard work in bringing nutrition education to families across Androscoggin County has earned them this year’s NorthSTAR Award.

In 2024, educators Emily Smith, Rebecca Schoen, and Rachel Legendre led 523 classes and reached nearly 1,900 participants with practical, hands-on lessons about food, budgeting, cooking, and healthy living. Their impact is felt in classrooms, community spaces, and homes throughout our region.

👏 Help us congratulate this amazing team for everything they do to support a healthier community!

🌼 Kaylee McGowan, BSN, has been awarded the DAISY Award at CMMC! 🌼

This recognition honors nurses who show extraordinary compassion, and Kaylee embodies exactly that. The DAISY Award highlights the incredible nurses who care for our neighbors, families, and friends here in Central Maine. Kaylee’s kindness reflects the very best of our nursing community.

Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved honor. 💙

💻✨ SuperSTAR Sunday: Alexander Elcewicz! ✨💻

Of course an IT SuperSTAR would get his award… on a Teams call! 😄

During a recent video meeting, the CET Recognition and Communications Team surprised Alexander Elcewicz with a SuperSTAR Award, and it couldn’t have been more fitting!

Alex was nominated for jumping in to save the day at a local practice office when phones and computers went down. He brought calm and quick thinking, getting the team back online and making sure every workstation was up and running before he left. 💪

Patient, polite, and always willing to go the extra mile, Alex truly embodies what it means to be a CMH SuperSTAR. 🌟

👶 Learning, collaboration, and care, all under one roof at CMMC!

Last week, CMMC hosted the Partnerships in Pediatrics Conference alongside the MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, bringing together providers from across Maine to connect and share insights.

This year’s discussions covered important topics like obesity medications and Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses, conversations that help strengthen care for kids and families across our state.

We’re proud to be a place where Maine’s pediatric professionals come together to learn from one another and keep pushing care forward. 💙

🇺🇸 Central Maine Healthcare Salutes Its Veterans

Before they were part of our Central Maine Healthcare family, many of our team members proudly served in the United States Armed Forces — and some continue to serve today as members of the reserves. 💙

This Veterans Day, we honor their courage, dedication, and continued commitment to service — both to our country and to our patients and communities here in Maine.

We’re proud to share these photos from some of our veteran team members who graciously shared a glimpse of their service with us. 🇺🇸
