Consider a post-holiday acupuncture reset. It works well to get things...realigned.

-7 degrees on Monday morning arrived shortly after the Full Cold Moon brightened the night sky and turned our breath to smoke. I'll admit it - I eyed that moon with suspicion and thought, I ain't ready for this.

A cold snap before it's winter seems rude, doesn't it? In fact, it was so cold on Monday morning, I had the spiteful idea of making a jello mold with tuna and green olives for my upcoming Christmas party. I still might do it.

But enough about taking the weather personally. I'm writing with a more important message, which is to say that we understand the holidays can be as hairy as they are merry.

Here are common things treated in seasons past:

-worsened carpal tunnel from shoveling
-ice cold toes
-agita from hydra-headed family dynamics
-seasonal affective disorder
-depression and grief feeling "denser" (i.e. harder to move through)
-slipped on ice, messed everything up
-I'm so worried about ________________
-loneliness
-the world feels mean and it keeps me up at night

Acupuncture can lighten the load. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot.

On a practical note, a quick request. Though L/A Community Acupuncture is a 501c3 nonprofit, we're financially self-sustaining, and don't rely on government funding or grants. One of the easiest ways to show your support - especially when gift giving is on many minds - is to purchase a gift card.

Got a Grinch if your life? Give them a gift card for acupuncture, and let us handle them. ;)

An old Japanese proverb says that one kind word can warm three winter months. Acupuncture is another way.

With gratitude and no sugar-coated platitudes,

Lauren & Sacha
