You don’t have a discipline problem. You have a chronic under-fueling problem.

Summer is coming. You are back to restricting.

Coffee for breakfast. Because IF says so.
Salad for lunch with fat-free dressing.
Handful of almonds, string cheese and a protein bar for dinner.

Trying to be “good.”
Whiteknuckling.

Then wondering why:
You’re exhausted
You’re craving everything
Your workouts feel flat
Your body isn’t changing
You’re binging every weekend

You’re not building anything.
You’re surviving.

Low fuel + high stress = cortisol dominance.

And cortisol dominance looks like:

This isn’t a metabolism issue. It’s a muscle deficit.
And most women in midlife have no idea it’s happening… slowly beneath the surface.

After 40 … and especially after menopause … muscle loss accelerates.
Because estrogen drops.
�There are estrogen receptors in your muscles that help stimulate contraction and growth — part of why staying lean and strong was easier in your 20s and 30s.
�Estrogen literally carries some of the load.

When this powerful hormone declines, muscle becomes harder to maintain.

Less muscle means:�✔️Lower metabolic rate�✔️Worse glucose control�✔️More fat gain�✔️Less strength�✔️Higher injury risk�✔️Lower bone density�✔️More fatigue�✔️More inflammation

This is physiology.
And this is exactly why my Muscle-First approach exists.

Because if all you focus on is the scale… you can be losing muscle while thinking you’re getting healthier.
