💚 SMART Recovery Family & Friends Meetings

📍 1448 G St, Lewiston, ID
🕖 2nd & 4th Mondays | 7–8 PM

When someone’s drowning, the lifeguard doesn’t jump in after them. They throw out a float and pull them in—because if the lifeguard swims out without support, there’s a good chance they’ll both go under.

The same is true when someone we love is struggling with addiction. We want to save them, but if we’re not on stable ground ourselves, we can end up drowning right beside them.

That’s what SMART Family & Friends meetings are about—finding your solid ground. 💚
It’s a place to learn new ways to help without losing yourself, to connect with others who understand, and to build your own support community.

You can’t pour from an empty cup—and you can’t pull someone to safety if you’re barely staying afloat. Come fill your cup, find your footing, and grow with us. 🌿

SMART Recovery LCV and LCV First Step 4 Life have a new home! 🏠

Our meetings are now being held at:

We’re excited for this new space and look forward to continuing to support our community in recovery and self-empowerment.

4-Point meetings for people with addictive and problematic behaviors is every Wednesday, 7–8 PM

Family & Friends meetings for those who need support because they have a loved one with addictions or problematic behaviors are now beimg held the second and fourth Monday of every month, 7-8 PM

All are welcome — no cost, no judgment, just support. 💙

At the heart of every strong community are nonprofits like SMART Recovery LCV , working tirelessly to bring hope, support, and change where it’s needed most.

SMART Recovery takes a science-based, self-empowering approach to recovery—helping individuals break free from addictions to substances and behaviors through proven tools and strategies. With the support of trained facilitators and a welcoming community, participants learn how to build motivation, cope with urges, manage thoughts and feelings, and create a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

What makes this organization so powerful is its accessibility. Meetings are available in-person, providing free resources and peer support to people across all walks of life. By empowering individuals to take control of their recovery, SMART helps strengthen not only the lives of participants, but also families, workplaces, and entire communities.

We’re honored to stand behind SMART Recovery in our fundraiser because when people are given the tools, encouragement, and support to thrive, the ripple effects transform the community we all share. Hey Everyone!! Largent’s Appliance Sales & Services is coming up on their 95th anniversary and they are spotlighting a bunch of local non-profits throughout September and October. SMART Recovery LCV has been chosen as one of the local non-profits as part of their celebration!!! Let’s talk about a powerful SMART tool: D.I.S.A.R.M.
💥 Destructive Imagery and Self-talk Awareness & Refusal Method

Here’s how it works:
1. Identify that voice that tells you “just one won’t hurt” “you deserve to have fun” “its been a while so its okay now”
2. Give it a name (The name i gave mine is not appropriate for Facebook 😆)
3. Recognize it’s NOT your true voice— I call it my addict brain
4. DISARM it with truth, logic, and compassion

Starting this week, you can attend a Sunday meeting at 2 PM at First Step 4 Life.
