We
You may have been hearing about online CPR/First Aid training, where you don't ever have to touch a manikin or come to a class. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE to regulators, or OSHA, and does not meet American Heart Association Standards (and really, would you go to a doctor or a massage therapist or hairdresser who had no hands on training? Of course not).

So, send us a message. If you have a group, we can take care of you!

CPR Training saves lives! I know you've heard about CPR and it doesn't seem exciting, or sexy or fun. But the numbers speak for themselves:

* Each year, over 350,000 people die from cardiac arrest outside of a hospital.

* Up to 45% of these people could survive if they can be rescued within 4-6 minutes.

* Professional rescuers can reach them in that amount of time less than 10% of the time.

* CPR is a some, easy to learn, and EFFECTIVE process to maintain life until help can arrive.

*ANYONE can learn CPR. No medical background is needed.

* YOU may be the only chance at life someone has.

Heat Kills! This high heat is very dangerous. Don't think you can just tough it out. High8 heat kills more than 600 people every year! Here's an infographic that illustrates the symptoms9 to look out for, courtesy of Fox 4 Dallas.

CPR is that thing you only take when the boss requires it, and it really isn't something you'd do, right? WRONG WRONG WRONG. For over 200,000 people in the US each year it's the only thing that could keep them alive until EMS gets there. If you quit breathing, in most cases the sad truth is that EMS CANNOT SAVE YOU. Chances are you'll die before EMS arrives. A bystander doing CPR is the only chance thousands of people have. Learn CPR today. It only takes about 1/2 a day and about $30. Who do you know whose life is worth at least that?

See this baby? She would have been DEAD if it weren't for someone doing CPR. But after a little CPR, she was alive and awake! And is just fine. But make no mistake, without Lupe Barboza doing CPR, this baby would have died, because mom didn't know what to do and didn't do anything. And, as I tell classes all the time, "911 CANNOT SAVE SOMEONE WHO IS NOT BREATHING!" They just can't get there fast enough. One little, 2-3 hour class, made all the difference.

FWISD employee Lupe Barboza performed CPR when a co-worker's baby stopped breathing.

This man was DEAD, and he's now ALIVE. Why? simple CPR (so simple ANYONE can do it) and use of an AED (again so simple ANYONE can use it!). Could this be YOU? or your loved ones?

Do YOU know CPR? It takes less than 1/2 day to learn it.
The fact is, if someone quits breathing and their heart stops, and all you do is call 911, THEY WILL DIE! EMS cannot get there fast enough! So take a CPR class, and make sure there is an AED everywhere you are.

This video shows how bystander CPR and prompt administration of Narcan (Naxolone) can be lifesaving for overdose victims like this girl. She appeared to be breathing, but it seems she was NOT breathing when bystanders arrived. So CPR likely kept her alive and saved her life while they waited for Police and EMS. And the Police administered Narcan, the he**in antidote, right away (it's the thing they stick in her nose, it's inhaled.

According to bystanders, , if they had done nothing, and everyone waited until EMS arrived (at 4:54 on the video; someone earlier indicated she went down about 3-1/2 minutes before the video starts, so EMS was there about 8-1/2 minutes since she went down) she'd likely have been dead or very brain damaged. In addition to bystanders, the police arrived and gave Narcan which also helped, but that was at 3:55 on the video, or about 5-1/2 minutes after she went down. So prompt CPR kept her alive.

This is what Sudden Cardiac Arrest looks like. Without CPR and the AED being RIGHT THERE, this 17 year old girl would have died. YOU CANNOT WAIT FOR 911 IF SOMEONE IS IN CARDIAC ARREST! They simply die too quickly. It's up to you!

Do you know CPR? Do you have an AED available? A CPR class takes about 1/2 day, or about the time for a round of golf. AEDs are about $1200, or about $50/mo on a commercial lease. Not too long, and not too expensive, for a life saved.

And if you say "well it won't happen to me or my loved ones", do you think these parents expected it to happen to their 17 yearly daughter? She was lucky. Would you or your child be as lucky?

Take a CPR class. And make sure your work, church, favorite store, restaurant and everywhere else you go has an AED. Your life might depend on it!

Claire Crawford, 17, is the girl in the video, the one whose heart suddenly stops.

There is a crisis in this country of he**in overdose. There is a trend to make this antidote for He**in overdose easier to use and more available (15 states allow it to be dispensed without a prescription). Here's information about the new single dose nasal spray version:

FDA approval for new version of product, based on the drug naloxone, which Irish maker says is cheaper and easier to use than injections
