I have shared with you all that music is another passion of mine, and that my sweetheart Mike and I have an acoustic duo together, called “One Lane Bridge”. Well, Mike and I have been growing another musical project for the past 18 months, a full band this time, called The New Athenians. We’ve been practicing at our music studio right around the corner from the massage studio, in our beloved historic Athens community in Lexington, Kentucky, where we live, work and play. Our music spans a multitude of genres, time periods and languages. And let me tell you - we are a fun bunch! We are ready to take this show on the road! Our debut concert as The New Athenians will take place at Lancaster Grand Theater in Lancaster, Kentucky (about 40 minutes from Lexington), next Saturday, March 14, 7:30pm showtime! Merry Christmas! Hoping all of my clients and their families are enjoying a happy and healthy winter holiday season! So grateful for each and every one of you! The first year at my new massage studio has been simply magical - thank you for co-creating and sharing in this magic with me. In addition to massage therapy and healing arts, music is another passion of mine. My sweetheart Mike and I have an acoustic duo together, called One Lane Bridge. We like to describe our music as soulful Americana with a European folk flair. We will be returning to our beloved Kentucky Native Café 12-2pm on Sunday, August 17th, for a beautiful afternoon of live music, delicious food and drinks, and a great fellowship of friends, both old and new, in the magical garden that Kentucky Native Café is. The signs are in!! All the way from Galway, Ireland!! I had no idea when I was ordering these beauties, that , a small family-owned business consisting of John, his wife Elaine and their two young children, was located in Ireland! I visited Ireland in 2010 and spent a couple of days in Galway. I absolutely fell in love with this beautiful land. Receiving these signs is a sign to me that it’s time to go back to Ireland for another visit, and this time take my sweetheart along for the adventure! Mike already knows that he will be ordering some of these signs for his Bourbon Barrel Guitar Company, too! John was absolutely fantastic to work with! Cannot recommend them enough!
