Let’s talk sensory!
Vestibular input comes from inside of your ear. When your head moves so does the fluid inside your ear. This helps us know where our body is in space and supports balance and coordination. Vestibular activities include swinging, jumping, and spinning! 👂🏼
🗝️The key is to always follow vestibular input with proprioception!
Proprioception also helps us know how our body is moving in space but this time it’s with input to our muscles and joints. Heavy work is a type of proprioception input that is done by pushing, pulling, and lifting. This input is often calming to the body and brain. 💪🏾
