Our ophthalmology and optometry practice provides comprehensive and specialized eye care. Palmetto Ophthalmology’s offices are in Lexington, SC and Leesville, SC, and we see patients from the Columbia area and throughout South Carolina. Our physicians are among the most well-trained and compassionate eye doctors in the state. Our practice utilizes the latest advances in medicine, combined with state-of-the-art equipment and technique. We provide routine eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lens fittings, and management of acute and chronic eye disease. We also perform a wide variety of surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens implantion, micro-incisional glaucoma surgery, glaucoma laser treatment, and cornea transplant procedures (DMEK, DSAEK, PK). Duties and Responsibilities:
• Answer and direct calls in a professional, friendly manner
• Take accurate messages and deliver them to the appropriate party as soon as possible
• Perform data entry of new patient profiles and update existing ones in the database
• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Receive and process payments
• Schedule appointments
• Filing, sort and distribute faxes and mail
• Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize work flow according to immediate demands in a fast-paced environment
• Must maintain confidentiality of patient care and records
• Great customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Enthusiastic
• Reliable transportation as we do have three locations (Irmo, Lexington and Batesburg-Leesville)
The ideal candidate is capable of prioritizing patient care while effectively multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
