This past Wednesday, the Omega Psi Phi fraternity here in Lexington hosted their annual health event at the Black & Williams Neighborhood Center! University of Kentucky neuropsychologist, Dr. Willie McBride, gave a presentation on the differences between brain health and mental health, and representatives from the UK Neurology department offered free health screens. Catering was provided by DV8 Kitchen.

Thank you to Omega Psi Phi for all the great things you’re doing in the community! We’re so grateful that we here at the Engaged Aging Lab got to be a part of it.

Are You Caring for Someone With Dementia?

If you’re caring for a loved one with dementia, you may be eligible to enroll in a new research study! The Person-Environment Fit Study at the University of Kentucky blends time-tested clinical assessments with advanced biological monitors to form a holistic investigation of dementia symptomology and contribute to enhancing evidence-based therapies for people with dementia. And you can do it from your own home!
