We all need connection... especially in life’s hardest moments.

At KVC, we believe su***de prevention starts with strong, compassionate connection between clinician and patient. Our new 6-step guide to implementing CAMS with private funding offers a practical roadmap for organizations working to prevent su***de.

We’re grateful for our partnership with CAMS-care in advancing collaborative, life-saving care and making evidence-based approaches more accessible.

We were excited to welcome 20 volunteers from Valvoline for a special service project this week! 💙

Their team helped pack 500 meal kits that will be distributed to KVC families across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Each kit includes a budget-friendly recipe and ingredients to prepare a meal for a family of four, helping make mealtime a little easier for the families we serve.

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and teamwork the Valvoline volunteers brought to this project. Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across our state.

We love having Valvoline as a community partner and truly appreciate their commitment to giving back. Thank you for helping us make an impact for families across Kentucky! 👏

Children’s Advocacy Day at the Capitol this week! 🏛️💙

KVC staff from the Salt River Trail FFPRS team had the opportunity to represent KVC Kentucky at the Policy and Play event. During the day, we met with Senator Julie Raque Adams and witnessed the recognition of recently retired Kentucky CHFS Secretary Eric Friedlander.

Throughout the event, we connected with legislators and agency representatives from across the state, played interactive games, and learned more about current bills moving through the legislative process that support Kentucky youth. It was a great day of advocacy, collaboration, and learning!

We had a wonderful time and look forward to attending again next year!

This morning we gathered at Kenwick Table for great coffee and meaningful conversation about why mental health matters. We were grateful to spend time connecting with our amazing community partners Ridge Behavioral Health System, SUN Behavioral Kentucky and UofL Health - Peace Hospital sharing ideas and strengthening the support we provide together.

Afterwards, we headed over to the Kenwick Community Center to attend the VOA Honor Resource Fair, where we’re continuing the conversation and connecting with community members about available mental health resources and support.

We’re thankful for opportunities like today to collaborate, raise awareness and help build a stronger, healthier community. 💚

Our very own Dr. Megan Moore recently delivered a powerful session to PGA professionals on understanding and preventing burnout in high-demand work environments.

She explored what burnout really is, the unique pressures golf professionals face and how leaders can recognize early warning signs in themselves and their teams. Dr. Moore also shared practical, research-informed strategies to reduce burnout, strengthen engagement and build a healthier, more sustainable workplace culture.

We are proud to see Dr. Moore sharing her expertise beyond KVC and representing our organization in the broader community. Her leadership and commitment to mental health continue to expand KVC’s impact and highlight the importance of well-being across every profession.

Thank you, Dr. Moore, for leading the way.

Hair is not just hair. For many Black youth, it is identity, history and pride.

The Natural Hair Movement helped challenge outdated beauty standards and made space for natural, textured hair to be celebrated. And that celebration matters, especially for youth who deserve to feel confident and seen exactly as they are.

If you are caring for a youth with textured hair and feel unsure where to start, you are not alone. Learning how to properly care for their hair is a simple but powerful way to show love and respect for their culture.

That is why we created our How to Care for Textured Hair eBook. It is practical, encouraging and designed to help you feel more confident.

This Black History Month, let’s keep learning, keep celebrating and keep showing up for the youth in our care. 💛https://hubs.ly/Q042ML090

Their leadership, responsiveness, and commitment to innovation reflect a shared dedication to building healthier communities and ensuring individuals in crisis are met with hope, healing, and connection.

We are deeply grateful for Valvoline’s trust and collaboration, and we look forward to continuing this important work together so every person can be safe, supported, and connected to a strong family and a healthy community.
