• Ask "who," "what," "where" or "why" questions, like "Where is daddy?"
• Say what action is happening in a picture or book when asked, like "running," "eating" or "playing."

• Talk well enough for others to understand, most of the time.

As we prepare to welcome a brand new year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Lafayette County. Thank you for trusting us with your health, your questions, your families, and your wellbeing throughout 2025.
Please note that our office will close at noon on December 31, 2025, so our team can spend time with loved ones and recharge for the year ahead. We will resume normal operations when we reopen January 5, 2026.

Altruism, Inc. is hosting a Mommy and Me Gently Used Clothing Pop Up on Monday, December 22 at the Lafayette County Health Department (547 S. Business Highway 13) from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stop in and pick up clothing from newborn to size 16 for boys and girls. These items will be donated on a first-come, first-served basis.

For anyone who needs support with diapers, come and sign up for our HappyBottoms.org program. You’ll receive free diapers monthly through this program.

Also, ask us about our free blood pressure self-monitoring training program that includes helpful resources and a blood pressure cuff. Pregnant women are encouraged to join.
