Pauline “Polly” B. Garnett
October 20th, 1950 – January 20th, 2026
Pauline “Polly” B. Garnett passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2026, at Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, Tennessee at the age of 75. Polly was preceded by her parents Paul & Carmen Bryson, her brother Jim Bryson, her sister Mary Helen Cox, and her son-in-law Daniel Wallace. She is survived by her children Kimberly Garnett (Purvis, MS), Kelley Cook & her son-in-law Stan Cook (Olive Branch, MS), and Krystal Wallace (Lexington, TN), as well as her grandchildren Anna Terry, Harrison Terry, Madey Luter, Taylor Cook, Miranda Wallace, Jackson Wallace, and Natalie Cook.
Polly was born to Paul and Carmen Bryson in Tupelo, Mississippi on October 20, 1950. She graduated in 1968 from Tupelo High School. Polly raised her family in West Point, MS, and later relocated to Biloxi, MS, where she lived and worked for the remainder of her life.
As a security agent at Palace Casino in Biloxi for nearly 20 years, Polly was loved dearly by coworkers and customers. She lived her life fully in each moment and truly understood the value of friendship and family. Her sweet soul and kind spirit will forever be a part of the lasting memory she leaves behind in the lives of everyone she encountered.
Polly was a woman of strong faith, and she demonstrated this faith through her selfless acts of service and the way she inspired others to find strength and seek God’s guidance in their own lives. Throughout life, she embodied qualities of loyalty, hope, compassion, and grace even when facing personal hardship. She taught her children early to believe as she did, that everything happens for a reason and there is always something to be thankful for. She expressed gratitude for a wonderful life full of people and experiences even in her last week after a difficult month brought on with the diagnosis and challenges of lung cancer.
Polly loved people the most, but she also enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her yard and being near the ocean. She loved her cats, a good book, all kinds of music, and believed that dancing a little each day was good for her soul. Her warm smile and contagious laughter will forever be remembered.
Mom, we love you most!
Polly’s family will honor her life with a private service. In remembrance of Polly’s life and her compassion for all God’s creatures, the family asks that any charitable donation be made to your local animal shelter.
