If you are like me and were told constantly when you were young to ‘grow up’ when you were experiencing emotions, remember that your emotions are your own energy in motion and the people saying those dismissive things when you were a kid just didn’t understand how to help you regulate and understand your energy.

Practice naming what you are feeling, but be mindful not to judge yourself because you have emotions that may be contrary to what you think you should be feeling.
