Hey there! I wanted to take a moment to post a few pictures and a video of our office. For those of you who have never been to our office, we thought it would be helpful to show you where we are located in Lexington, KY. I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. We've changed addresses a few times due to having to grow, shrink, and shuffle. Our current address is 501 Darby Creek Road, Suite 39A, Lexington, KY 40509.

For those of you who attend sessions with us regularly, or haven't visited with us in a while, we wanted to show off the new vibe. We've hung up some more decorations, rearranged a few things, and spruced it up a bit.

We are ever grateful for the abundance of support we have always received, and continue to receive, from our wonderful network of clients, referral sources, staff, and more. We couldn't do what we do without you. Your involvement with ODCC truly makes a difference for us and for your neighbors (friends, family, peers, etc). We hope to be here making an impact in and changing the world for many years to come.

P.S. I'm including a video of how to find us that shows the outside of the building and our suite.

Open Doors Counseling Center placed in two categories for the CommunityVotes - Lexington-Fayette KY 2025 awards. We received the Platinum award for the Psychology Clinic category and we received the Gold award for the Therapy and Counseling category. We often encounter a world that does not want us fulfilling our mission or realizing our vision, however, it is deeply inspiring, motivating, and rewarding to be reminded that we have an abundance of support surrounding us. As always, we are deeply grateful to those who support us. We couldn't do what we do without you.

Good afternoon, everyone! I wanted to hop on here to remind you that I am accepting clients - new and returning clients. I am quickly nearing a full caseload but I am excited to be able to work with as many people as possible.

A few things about me:
1) I am the founder of Open Doors Counseling Center and I am the Chief Clinical Officer of Caritas Care Solutions.
2) I have been a therapist since 2011 and I have been with ODCC and our clients for 5+ years.
3) I am trained in and certified in trauma and grief therapy.
4) I am certified in financial therapy. I am 1 of about 3 Certified Financial Therapists in Kentucky and about 1 of approximately 100 CFTs nationwide.
5) I have been specializing with LGBTQIA+ people since starting ODCC.
6) I have supervised and/or trained approximately 70 staff since starting ODCC and since leading Caritas Care Solutions, including, but not limited to, leadership (I.e. directors/managers), nurse practitioners, therapists, case managers, peer support specialists, community support associates, students, and support staff.
7) There are many things I can help with, but, in summary, I enjoy helping others live a life that they love. This kind of journey is very rewarding to me and to my clients. I would love to help you, too.

Hey there! After a short hiatus from seeing clients, I am back in the therapy seat ready to get back to provide direct services again. After many long, hard years of pouring everything I could into building Open Doors Counseling Center, I needed a break from juggling so many responsibilities. Now that I am rested, I am ready to lean into my passion again - providing therapy to our clientele. I have opened my schedule to be available Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm (minus a lunch break each day). If you would like to schedule an intake with me or return to me as a client, please contact our office at office@opendoorscounselingctr.com or (606) 776-6185 during regular business hours so that our office staff can assist you with this. I am grateful for the opportunity to have taken a break, however, I am excited to pivot back into a role in which I thrive. I hope to see you soon!

P.S. Ask to be scheduled with Kyle May when you contact us about a therapy appointment.
