Dianne, Estil, and Jeff just completed the Wesley Waddle 5K recently—and it’s quickly becoming a tradition!

As they shared:
“We just completed the Wesley Waddle 5k this morning! It's becoming a thing. I hope other Strongerlife members will give a race a try. The Lunch Lady Hustle is coming up! You can do it!”

Congratulations are in order because Kim recently celebrated an incredible milestone working her way, one workout at a time, into the 1000 Club!! 💪🎉

As she puts it:

Our amazing Head Coach, Amy, is taking on something incredibly close to her heart.

On May 3rd, she’ll be running the Eau Claire Marathon in honor of her mom, who passed away in April 2020—just two days after Amy ran a marathon for her while she was in the hospital. In the midst of fear, distance, and uncertainty, Amy ran to make her mom proud… and now she’s running again to carry her legacy forward.💜

Amy’s mom was someone who cared deeply for others—and that same heart is exactly what Amy brings into StrongerLife every single day. She believes so strongly in this mission and in the power of helping adults 55+ live stronger, more confident, independent lives… because she’s experienced firsthand how much it matters.

This time, she’s set a goal to raise $10,000+ to provide fitness membership scholarships for adults 55+, helping remove barriers so more people can access the kind of support that truly changes lives.

Improved Energy For Endless Adventure!

Lynn recently shared a story that perfectly captures the StrongerLife mindset—and it’s one we love to see in action.

After returning home from a 4-week trip to Italy, Lynn reflected on just how much her strength and endurance have grown. As she puts it:
“We walked and walked and walked up to 25K on some days. My Apple Watch told me my walking heart rate went from an average of 98 beats per minute to 83. I loved climbing stairs and was barely winded at the top. My traveling companion dreaded them. I am ready for my next adventure.”

What once might have felt exhausting became empowering. Long days of walking, endless steps, and exploring new places turned into opportunities to put her fitness into action—and truly enjoy it.

As we age, maintaining strength, balance, and cardiovascular health becomes essential. Lynn’s experience is a powerful example of how consistency pays off—not just in workouts, but in the freedom to fully enjoy life’s adventures.

From Avoiding Activity to Seeking It Out! 👊

Paula recently shared a story that perfectly captures the StrongerLife mindset—and it’s one we love to see in action.

While traveling out of town, Paula didn’t press pause on her health. Instead, she embraced it in a whole new environment. As she puts it: “I may be out of town but thanks to my coaches at StrongerLife - I know a good push up opportunity when I see it! Also sit-squats on the Riverside Park walking / bike path benches along the Hudson River in NYC. And oh those steps!!! All 50 of them.”

Fitness isn’t confined to the gym—it shows up in everyday life, in unexpected places, and in the choices we make while on the go.

Peter recently shared a story that really hits home—and serves as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do at StrongerLife.

His 91-year-old father experienced a fall in the middle of the night after losing his balance in the bathroom. Thankfully, he’s okay—but moments like these are more common than we’d like to think, and they highlight something incredibly important.

As we age, our balance, strength, and mobility naturally decline. And without actively working to maintain them, everyday situations—like getting up in the night—can become real risks.

Rhonda Beach, one of our members, was recently asked by her son to help clean the walls at a gym that he was building. It might not sound like much—but anyone who’s scrubbed down walls knows it takes strength, endurance, and a lot of repetitive movement, especially walls of this height.

When Jeanette was asked to fly with her friend’s children from Atlanta to Vancouver, Canada and take care of them while their mom attended university classes, she didn’t hesitate. Travel, busy kids, a new city — it’s a lot to keep up with!
