Its 🏆 Award Season 🏆 A massive congratulations to Olivia Hage (G2) for receiving the 2024 Thomas V. Getchell, PhD Memorial Award for Excellence in Grant Writing! The award is given “in recognition of commitment to scientific excellence, outstanding written and oral communication skills, enthusiastic participation in the learning process, and a desire to help others in a constructive and selfless manner.”  Dr. Getchell was a Professor of Physiology and Associate Dean for Research and Basic Sciences. In addition to his own prosperous research career, he founded the UK Grant Writing Workshop that has since equipped trainees to earn over $2.4 million in fellowship funding. The recipient of this award is chosen from current Grant Writing Workshop trainees and supports a travel stipend. Congratulations Olivia!!
