What you can expect:
🔹 Daily structured support (M–F)
🔹 90+ minutes/day with clinicians + behavioral coaches
🔹 Family involvement when helpful

“My anxiety, can’t shake it off of me… Somebody’s watchin’ me and my anxiety.” — Doechii taps into the noise we try to ignore, the rhythm we try to outrun. This track isn’t just a bop—it’s a mirror.

At CBTeam, we know that anxiety can feel like a constant presence—lurking, buzzing, building. It’s more than a lyric. For many, it’s daily life.

🎶 So play the track. Let it move you.

🌿 You Are Not Broken

This month, we’re sharing Josh Korda’s powerful piece, You Are Not Broken (via Lion’s Roar), for its compassionate take on mental health.

As clinicians, we often help others untangle shame and self-blame—yet we, too, can forget that our struggles are not flaws, but natural responses to a complex world.

When we meet pain with understanding instead of correction, we create space for healing that begins with belonging, not fixing.

Josh Korda reveals how your pain may be a sign — not of personal failure, but of a world that needs changing.

We’re (fashionably) late in announcing a fantastic addition to CBTeam—Dr. Paul Sullivan, who joined us in August as a child and adolescent clinician specializing in anxiety and mood disorders. We’re excited to share that Dr. Sullivan is now accepting new clients!

Dr. Sullivan brings a wealth of clinical training and experience, with a deep focus on youth mental health. From his early days at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute to his pre- and post-doctoral training at Bellevue Hospital, NYU Child Study Center, and Weill Cornell, Dr. Sullivan has worked across diverse inpatient, outpatient, and academic settings. He even received Teacher of the Year honors at the NYU Child Study Center for his work training future psychologists.

Dr. Sullivan’s clinical interests include:
- OCD & anxiety disorders
- Mood disorders
- Child, adolescent, and young adult treatment
- Team-based, evidence-driven care

When he’s not working with clients, Dr. Sullivan enjoys cheering on Boston sports, rewatching his favorite films, spending time with his family, and indulging in his lifelong love of WWE (yes—he’s been to multiple Wrestlemanias!).

This week, CBTeam shares a mix of heartfelt gratitude and sadness as we prepare to bid farewell to Dr. Adam Reid in his role as Co-Owner and Founding Director of Child and Adolescent Services. As of July 1, 2025, Adam will step away from his leadership position to return to full-time clinical work and begin a new chapter in his professional life.

Since joining CBTeam in 2018, Adam has played a pivotal role in our growth—from a small group of part-time clinicians to a thriving team of over 14 full-time clinicians and a supportive staff. His leadership helped shape our clinical programming and fostered the evolution of our team.

Adam was instrumental in developing our Intensive Outpatient Program, Psychological Testing services, and child and adolescent initiatives like Camp Courage, Club Courage, and Courage Academy. He also led our marketing and website efforts and worked hard to make our space feel like a home-away-from-home. Above all, Adam devoted countless hours to individual and group supervision—mentorship that deeply impacted our clinical team.

Adam's decision to step down reflects his desire to focus on being a full-time clinician and to reclaim more work-life balance after years of wearing many hats. He leaves CBTeam proud of the team he’s helped build and the hundreds of "this is why" moments he’s celebrated with staff during client breakthroughs.

He will reopen his private practice full-time at 1775 Massachusetts Avenue in downtown Lexington, MA, and can be reached at adamreidphd@reidtherapeuticservices.org.

On behalf of the entire CBTeam community—our staff, clients, and leadership—we thank Adam for his years of dedication, expertise, and care.

With appreciation,
Jason and Kim

🧱 Camp Courage: MINECRAFT EDITION was a blast—and we’re getting ready to do it all again in August! 💥

From June 18–22, our brave campers jumped into a custom Minecraft world where they faced fears, solved problems, and supported each other—one pixel at a time.

Using real CBT and ACT strategies, campers practiced staying grounded during anxious moments, tackled challenges with flexible thinking, and discovered new ways to be brave in both the game and real life.

✨ We witnessed incredible growth, courageous breakthroughs, and tons of creative fun!

Missed the first round? Don’t worry—Session 2 is coming up: August 18–22!

Your camper will:
✔️ Practice emotional regulation
✔️ Learn to fail forward + ask for help
✔️ Build confidence & resilience
✔️ Connect in a supportive, therapeutic space

🎮 Led by Camp Director Dr. Moselle Campbell and her amazing counselor team.

🌟 CBTeam Spotlight: Marianne & the Power of Behavioral Coaching 🌟

We are deeply grateful for Marianne, whose unconditional compassion, exceptional technical skill, and natural ability to connect with both teens and adults make her an invaluable member of the CBTeam. Her warmth, dedication, and mastery in guiding clients through emotionally challenging exposures consistently inspire our staff and benefit every client she serves.

At CBTeam, we believe experiential learning is the most effective path to lasting change. That’s why our Behavioral Coaching program brings therapy beyond the office and into real life — helping clients apply skills in everyday environments. Whether it’s navigating crowds, managing contamination fears at home, or improving focus on schoolwork, our coaches meet clients where they are — literally and emotionally.

Behavioral coaching enhances out-of-session learning and helps generalize treatment goals more powerfully than traditional sessions alone. It’s one of the most impactful ways we support real-world change.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month from CBTeam 🏳️‍🌈

Being LGBTQ+ does not mean someone has a mental health disorder. Yet, statistics show that nearly 1 in 2 LGBTQ+ individuals experience depression in a given year, and 3 in 5 report anxiety (Mental Health Foundation). One of the most powerful protective factors? Access to compassionate, inclusive healthcare.

CBTeam is committed to promoting accountability across all healthcare systems to ensure equity in care. We welcome and support our LGBTQ+ patients, staff, and colleagues — and we encourage every healthcare professional to speak out when discrimination is witnessed, whether in healthcare settings or beyond.

CBTeam hopes to see you at the 2025 Pride in Boston Festival on June 14th!
