NAMI Kentucky National Alliance on Mental Illness of Kentucky (NAMI Kentucky) Founded in 1979, NAMI has local affiliates in all 50 states.

NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mental illness and families and friends. The Kentucky Chapter of NAMI has approximately 1,000 members, and offers programming and services throughout the Commonwealth. Lambert of the Kentucky Supreme Court, founding chair of the Kentucky Judicial Commission on Mental Health. Also recognized for their leadership were Sen. Steve Meredith, Chair of the Senate Health Services Committee, Rep. Kim Poore Moser, Chair of the House Health Services Committee, Rep. Patrick Flannery, and Rep. Bobby McCool.
