Thanks to all the clinics that have hosted our Class of 2027 UKDPT students in their part time clinical this semester! Students have been able to deepen their clinical reasoning and practice a wide variety of skills. ProActive showcased their PT/Student pairings nicely!

The UKDPT Class of 2027 had a great PT 845 lab session today with Dr. Denise O’Dell and Dr. Whitney Lacefield!

Students participated in hands-on learning as Dr. Lacefield demonstrated exercises used in the treatment of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, while Dr. O’Dell taught and demonstrated safe wheelchair transport and transfer techniques.

Experiential learning like this helps our students build the clinical skills and confidence needed to provide excellent patient care. Proud of the hard work from the Class of 2027!

Second-year students in the UK Physical Therapy Program recently participated in an engaging Biomotion Lab session with Dr. Erickson, diving into the science behind running gait analysis. This hands-on learning experience bridges classroom knowledge with real-world clinical practice—preparing future physical therapists to assess, treat, and educate patients and athletes with confidence.
