Patricia J. Wooten, 72, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on February 28, 2026. She was born on February 22, 1954 in Columbia, SC to the late Mamie Brasington Derrick and Thomas Richard Johnson.

Patricia was christened in the Lutheran church. She worked in the legal field for many years and upon retirement, she enjoyed crafting and traveling to the beach and mountains.

She is survived by her husband, David R. Wooten of Red Bank, SC; sister, Linda Skipper of Columbia, SC; and special friend, Ann Wood of Columbia, SC.

While nothing could have prepared us for this loss, we find comfort in knowing how deeply she was loved and how many lives she touched.

Angela Marie Spivey was born on November 9, 1992, and passed away on February 25, 2026, at the age of 33. She was a resident of Lexington, South Carolina.
Angela attended Strongsville High School in Strongsville, Ohio, where she had many friends. She was an avid snowboarder, ran track, played softball, and was a fantastic artist. She also enjoyed playing video games.

Angela is survived by her mother, Terri Mills; daughter, Melody Brelsford Spivey; son, Xander Hudson Spivey; and grandparents, Tom Vaiden and Camille Vaiden. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tiffany Camille.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on March 6, 2026, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, South Carolina 29072.

Carole H Walston, a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on September 17, 1947, Carole was a resident of Lexington, South Carolina. She was known for her humorous, kind-hearted, and thoughtful nature, and was an inspiration to many. Her gentle, faithful, and cherished presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carole graduated from William R. Boone High School in Orlando, Florida, and attended Orlando Junior College. Throughout her career, she worked as a preschool teacher and served as a dental assistant and receptionist. In her personal life, she was a devoted wife to her husband, Jack Walston, and a loving mother to her son, Jack Walston Jr. (Kelly), and daughter, Ashley Lawrence (Aaron). She was a cherished GeeMom to Emily Serio (Brandon), Logan Lawrence, Sarah Lawrence, Reese Lawrence, Jack Walston III, Maddie Walston, and her loving pet Happy.

Carole had a passion for making cards and wreaths for family, church friends, and many homebound friends. She loved decorating her home for the seasons and had a fondness for collecting china and dishware. Her community involvement was significant, as she was a member of Mt Horeb Church in Lexington and was heavily involved in church hospitality at the churches her husband Jack served.

Known as a prayer warrior, Carole was committed to praying for her children, grandchildren, and even strangers. Her legacy of faith in Christ, compassion and hard work will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Expressions of gratitude are extended to Right at Home Care for their support over the past few months, her friend group at Mt. Horeb Church, other visiting friends, and the prayer ladies from Orlando. A special thanks to her hairdresser, Donna Cavanaugh, for her care and friendship.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LaVie Pregnancy Care Center, 1271 Calks Ferry Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. Carole's most reliable counsel to her son and daughter was, "Don't be offended, walk in love."

George "Porter" Corley, age 94, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026 at Lexington Medical Center. He was a charter member of Round Hill Baptist Church.

He was born March 15, 1931, in Travelers Rest, SC a son of the late Julian R. and Carrie Lee Corley. The family moved to Lexington, SC when Porter was a young child. After graduating from Lexington High School, he joined the US Navy serving for two years. Leaving the US Navy in 1952 he returned to Lexington and began a long career with Southern Bell.

He married Helen Jean Moffitt on April 11, 1954. They were married for "52" wonderful years.

Porter is survived by his son, George Corley and his wife Lisa; grandson, Matthew T***s and his wife Cassandra; three great-grandchildren, Dalton, Cali and Sadie T***s; and niece, Kathy Bouknight and her husband Rick.

He was predeceased by those he held dear, his parents, Julian R. and Carrie Lee Corley; his loving wife, Helen Moffitt Corley; son, Michael Porter Corley; sister, Betty Jo Derrick; mother-in-law, Dorothy Moffitt; brothers-in-law, Eugene Moffitt and Eulas Derrick.

Porter served two terms as president of Lexington Dixie Youth Baseball League, coached Little League teams for five years. He served as Junior Warden, Senior Warden and Master of Masonic Lodge No. 152 (Lexington).

He served on the Board of Directors for Cub Scouts and the Viewing Board for Boy Scouts of America. He was a true outdoorsman having a lifelong love of hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching Clemson football and Atlanta Braves baseball.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel located at 503 North Lake Drive with Reverend Don Turner and Reverend Kevin Goebel officiating. Burial immediately follows at Woodridge Memorial Park located at 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC 29072.

Cleo Evelyn Crumpton Daugherty
January 11, 1930 – February 13, 2026

Cleo Evelyn Crumpton Daugherty, a beloved and faithful resident of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 96. Cleo was born on January 11, 1930, near Elgin, South Carolina, as the third of six children to John Jabez and Mattie Atkerson Crumpton, who have both preceded her in death. She graduated from Blythewood School and began her working life at the Woolworth store in Columbia, where she met her future husband, John William Daugherty. They married in 1951, and Cleo devoted herself to being a mother and homemaker, a role she embraced with creativity and kindness.

Cleo was known for her hard-working nature and deep commitment to her family. She was an active member of the Baptist church, teaching children and participating in women's groups. Her passion for gardening and sewing was evident in her beautiful yard and the clothing she made for herself and her daughter. Her culinary skills were renowned, particularly her ability to incorporate fresh produce from her garden into family meals.

After Cleo and her husband retired and returned to South Carolina, she continued to care for family members and cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was deeply involved in the Senior Adult Ministry at Lexington Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she formed lasting friendships.

Cleo's legacy is marked by her unwavering faith, her dedication to prayer, and her ministry of encouragement through letters and cards. Her life was a testament to her strong belief in the power of faith and community.

Cleo is survived by her daughter, Dr. Janice Daugherty Rawl, and her husband, Dr. Richard Rawl; her grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca Elaine Rawl and her husband, Dr. Krishan Kumar Mohindroo, Jr., David Christopher Rawl and his wife, Amy Carol Brothers, and Martha Grace Rawl; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia Grace Mohindroo, Thomas Joseph Rawl, Owen Preston Mohindroo, Carter Keaton Rawl, and Manuel Kumar Mohindroo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John William Daugherty, in 2020, along with her siblings, Lois C. Daniels, Alfred A. Crumpton, Christine C. Wiedemann, Julian Crumpton, and Samuel L. Crumpton

The family extends their gratitude to Rev. Dan Williams and the late Rev. Stuart Thompson of Lexington Baptist, as well as the caregivers from McLeod Home Care and Three Oaks Hospice, who provided support in her final days. Cleo's neighbors and friends were a source of joy and assistance throughout her life.

In her own words, Cleo often shared, "Always trust in the Lord, and pray that He will show you the path you are to take." Her life was a reflection of this guiding principle, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 East Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place after the service at Lexington Memorial Cemetery, 1772-1782 West Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072.

Larry Wayne Ayer, 77, of Gilbert, South Carolina passed away on February 16, 2026. He was born in Ehrhardt, SC on November 29, 1948 to the late Christobel Still and Linell E. Ayer.
Larry served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his military service, he worked as a mechanic, enjoying the challenge of tinkering with various things from tractors and trucks to dirt bikes and curlers. Larry eventually retired from Michelin Tire, marking the end of a distinguished career.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Ayer; his son, Joey Ayer (Mellisa); his cherished grandchild, Addisyn Ayer; and his sisters, Barbra Brickle, Janet A. Horne (Rex), and Cheryl Brown (Jim).

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Donna Hundley.

Visitation will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, located at 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC, on February 20, 2026, starting at 2:30 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Lexington Memorial Cemetery, 1772-1782 West Main Street, Lexington, South Carolina, following the service.

Larry will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and his passion for mechanics.
