As we begin looking ahead to our 2026 events, we’re also reflecting with gratitude on the meaningful moments that continue to define our mission.

We still have a limited number of 40th Anniversary Ornaments and 2025 Ride for Angels T-shirts available. These items represent more than a milestone and a ride — they symbolize community, remembrance, and the many lives touched through our mission.

With only a small quantity remaining, they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you would like to purchase one as a keepsake or gift, please send us a message or contact us at 336.475.5444. We would be honored to share them with you.

Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us. 💚

As we continue reflecting on our 2025 staff milestones, today we are honored to recognize three incredible team members who celebrated 15 years of dedicated service to our agency in 2025.

💚Jennifer Everhart (aka Jenn) – Chief Clinical Officer
Jenn has been an unwavering resource and leader within our organization for 15 years. She is a colleague we all look up to, a nurse we turn to for guidance, and a leader whose example inspires us every day. Jenn provides oversight for all of our clinical programs, including Hinkle Hospice House, Home Care, Support Services and our facility partners. No matter the need, she is always willing to step in—whether that means seeing a patient, covering a shift, or supporting her teams.

Beyond her professional role, Jenn is a devoted wife, mother of three, proud Gigi, and an amazing, devoted friend who loves the beach! We are truly blessed to have her as part of our agency.

💚 Gloria Racey (aka Glo) - Facility Social Worker
Gloria is a Medical Social Worker and valued member of our Support Services team, celebrating 15 years with our agency. She is a steadfast team player and an incredible mentor to fellow social workers, always willing to step in and support others whenever she can. While her primary role is serving as a facility social worker, Gloria is consistently available to help wherever she’s needed.

Outside of work, she loves to travel, especially go on cruises, and is a wonderful mother and devoted partner. We are grateful for her dedication, compassion, and years of service.

💚 Donna Albright – PRN Nurse, Hinkle Hospice House
Donna began her journey as a floor nurse, later served as Team Lead at Hinkle Hospice House, and now continues to share her compassion and expertise as a PRN hospice nurse. Her dedication and heart for care have left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the patients she serves.

Admired by so many at Hospice of Davidson County, Donna is often described as “like a mother to us all.” She is a devoted mother and caregiver, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has given—and continues to give—to our agency.

Please join us in celebrating 15 years of service for these three remarkable women and thanking them for the compassion, leadership, and commitment they bring to our mission every day 💚

January and February is a time of reflection for many, and in 2025 we are grateful that we were able to celebrate several staff milestones during our agency's Holiday Celebration. Our team members are the heart of our mission, and we are incredibly thankful for their dedication and commitment to providing expert, compassionate care to those facing serious illness. Over the coming weeks, we will be highlighting these milestones and the remarkable individuals behind them.

Today, we are proud to recognize Angie Grubb, who celebrated 30 with our agency! As our director of Finance, Angie is truly a blessing to our organization. Her kindness, leadership, and attention to detail shone through in everything she does.

Beyond her professional role, Angie is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and colleague, and we are so grateful for the care and dedication she brings to both her work and those around her.

Please join us in celebrating Angie and thanking her for 30 years of unwavering service and commitment to our mission 💚

Please join us in congratulating, Jennifer King, one of our incredible nurses on earning her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner and achieving board certification as an FNP-C!

Her journey in healthcare began in 2011 as a CNA, followed by earning her ADN, BSN (graduating Magna Cum Laude and inducted into multiple honor societies), and now completing her MSN-FNP with distinction in 2025. She has been serving patients in hospice care since 2013 and earned her Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) credentialing in 2016—demonstrating a longstanding commitment to excellence in end-of-life care.

Now credentialed as MSN, RN, FNP-C, she brings a deep passion for patient and family education, advocacy for vulnerable populations, and helping individuals feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care journey.

She shares that what she values most about working at Hospice of Davidson County is the supportive culture, collaborative team environment, and the trust and autonomy given to clinicians to practice at the highest level—always with compassion at the center.

We are proud to celebrate this achievement with Jennifer and are grateful for the dedication she brings to our patients, families, and team every day. 💚
