Had a fun, adventurous, taco-fueled mother-daughter trip to Tucson, AZ with Josie Shaffer! We picked Tucson so we could meet my niece Betsy Nigro’s darling 5-month old son, Marco. His sweet smiles and engaging personality were worth the trip!
We also rappelled through beautiful Tanque Verde Canyon, e-biked in Saguaro National Park, enjoyed the animals, hummingbirds and cactus garden at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, attended Tom Segura’s comedy show, relaxed at a day spa, and finished off our 4-day trip with a sunset trail ride and cowboy cookout at Tanque Verde Ranch. This was my first time on a horse, and I loved it! We then squeezed in one more quick visit with Betsy and Noah Nigro, and then collapsed in our hotel room. We also ate amazing Mexican food every day.
So grateful for this time with my girl.

On Saturday, we celebrated that a little cowboy is on his way for Wynter and Chris Degler! They came in from Dallas for their Lexington baby shower. It was so fun to see them open the many gifts from generous friends and family. Grandparents-to-be Kevin Degler (Pappy) and Beth Burchfield Degler (Gigi), as well as Amanda Burchfield and Wynter’s dad and stepmom, were beaming!
A big thank you to Delight Events (Angela Tatchell and Bailey Stuart) for the festive balloon arch backdrop. They were great to work with and made our event look fabulous!
The delicious food was provided by Connie Rogers catering. The beautful room is the Connection Point at our church Immanuel Baptist Church.
