Behind every successful athlete is a dedicated Athletic Trainer! 💪

Most people think they know what Athletic Trainers do.

Tape ankles.
Hand out water.
Personal training.
Stand on the sidelines and then run onto the field when someone gets hurt.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. 🧊

Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals whose top priority is the health, safety, and well-being of the athletes and individuals they serve. While many see them on the sidelines during games, much of their work happens behind the scenes in the Athletic Training Room:
• Injury prevention
• Injury evaluation
• Rehabilitation and return-to-play planning with coaches
• Emergency response and care
• Collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams

STAR Physical Therapy is proud to provide Athletic Training coverage to more than 30 high schools and colleges across Tennessee and Arkansas. Our Athletic Trainers work hard on the sidelines, in training rooms, and throughout their communities to support student-athletes every day.

March is National Athletic Training Month, and we’re proud to celebrate our incredible Athletic Training team and the impact they make in the communities we serve.

Thank you to our Athletic Trainers for everything you do! 💙

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✨

Last week, STAR Physical Therapy came together for our annual Directors Meeting—time set aside to focus on 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥.

This year’s meeting was designed to help us learn, grow, and challenge one another as leaders. These moments of connection and shared learning strengthen not only our teams but, ultimately, the care we provide to our patients and communities.

STAR exists 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, and everything we do is rooted in our core values—𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, pursuing clinical 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽—as we strive to serve with humility, compassion, and selflessness.

We are especially proud of the following clinics and individuals for being recognized at this year’s meeting:

🏆 Team Impact Award – Andrea Castellaw Alamo Clinic Director
With a small but mighty team, the Alamo clinic achieved incredible success through teamwork, commitment, and heart.

🏆 Service Award – Dana Fussell, Union City Clinic Director
Recognized for her exceptional servant leadership, Dana continues to make a meaningful impact both inside the clinic and throughout her community.

🏆 Leadership Impact Award – Britney Wewers, Lincoln, AR Clinic Director
Britney was honored for her outstanding leadership and the lasting impact she makes on her team, clinic, and community.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our patients and our communities every single day!

On Friday, we wore red for heart health! ❤️

February is American Heart Month, and we were proud to support National Wear Red Day to raise awareness for cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death among women, as part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement.

At STAR Physical Therapy, we believe that movement is medicine. Staying active is crucial for heart health and overall wellness. Whether it’s walking, strength training, or safely returning to activity after injury. Our team is here to support you every step of the way! ❤️💪
