Update:
I am doing well.
Get up and down is a bit exhausting- I am suppose to use my arms/ No abs to get up and down.
My fantastic wife has installed handle bars on the toilet- an Amazing game changer— Very Helpful!
I have successful managed a shower— I have a claw foot tube- so this was quite a challenge!
That being said, I have now been able to see what it all looks like.
I was able to find my bellybutton… 😅it has been moved up a little bit higher. The incision goew from inside my belly button and all the way down my vertical hysterectomy scar…. And it is all glued together.
I also have to very large hive areas- from an allergic reaction to the adhesive tape they used during surgery- I tried so hard to advocate for myself and inform them of this severe allergy- yet, alas I have a 2”x6” hives on my right rib under my breast and a 2”x2” on my left side.
All things considered- I am doing well though. Pain had been managed well. I have been resting and napping a lot. And going on small walks with my wife and/or daughter.

Hey lovelies!
Health update time.

Post hysterectomy 13months- I have a hernia!
CT scans confirm the Hernia is coming through the top of my hysterectomy scar- so I have an Umbilical Hernia!
Surgery is necessary and scheduled for:
Fri April 3rd.

Unlike Chemo- where I was able to work a few weeks and then take off a week for chemo… I will NOT be able to work during the healing process!
I am both devastated and daunted by this portion of my health journey!

Dr. Orders post surgery:
NO work 8-12wks
NO dancing 8-12wks
NO lifting: 5 to10lbs 1-6wks, 20 lbs 7-12wks, etc
NO bending over at the waist-
—I’ll get my squats in

Side concern:
NO income 8-12wks 😳😭

Yet, I must ensure I heal correctly, so this doesn’t happen again!

Please keep me in your healing thoughts, and perhaps keep an eye out for a new GoFund Me.
