Members of The Courage Center were honored to serve as moderators and panelists at this year’s 2025 Governor’s Summit on Addiction. It was inspiring to join leaders from across South Carolina in meaningful conversations around prevention, treatment, recovery, and policy. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and keep moving this work forward. 💚

The staff in Orangeburg were prepared for two Halloween events at the end of October with plenty of treats and tricks for the children. Our strong partnership with the Sheriff’s Department, Police Department, Family Health Centers, the county library, and other community agencies help us get the word out about our peer recovery services. Thanks to the CHWs and CPSS staff who helped make this a fun time for families. 🎃👻💚

Ribbon cutting day! 🤩

Today we celebrated with The Courage Center and the grand opening of their newest location here in Aiken! Cutting the ribbon is Executive Director Randy Rush and Program Coordinator Trish England. They are joined by staff, Aiken Chamber Board Chair Molly Jones, and members of the Aiken Chamber Ambassador Team.

The Courage Center provides a safe and supportive space for people of all ages and their families affected by substance use. Their services include peer recovery coaching, support groups, substance-free social events, life skills training, and counseling. They also lead initiatives like the campaign and the CORE Program to raise awareness and connect people to recovery resources. We are extremely excited to see them join an already supportive community.
