We had an amazing time( as always) showing support at the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass gala! The CAC provides a multi-disciplinary approach for youth survivors of abuse: Family Advocacy, Medical Examinations, Forensic Interviews, and Counseling Services. This year’s gala raised $298,318 to support our life-changing services for child survivors of sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers!

Our office is expanding and we are seeking to add another part-time therapist to our team. We are seeking someone to primarily work with children and adolescents (possibly some adult clients, if interested). This therapist will complete pre-treatment assessments, implement evidence-based treatments, and primarily work with survivors of trauma.

Prior training in assessment and evidence-based treatments is preferred, but Dr. Risk can provide TF-CBT Training free of charge. Our team can also provide training on the assessment tools used at the practice.

This therapist would be paid an agreed upon amount per therapy session, for attendance to staff meetings, plus opportunities for other projects may arise from time to time. While we provide telehealth services, this therapist will also need to be available for at least some in-person sessions a week. The therapist can begin with as few as 3-5 cases (or more) and build from there, if interested. Scheduling is flexible.

Some of our team presented at the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) conference on Trauma- informed Family Planning this year. We were so grateful to have the opportunity to present on such an important topic. Mini Mr. Bear was also in attendance and did some exploring of New Orleans on his own 🐻
