Day 3 after MiXto CO2 laser resurfacing with Dr. Hester at Be Medispa

Day 3 was her first time back out in public. Still red, still swollen, and still healing, but feeling good and confident in the process.

This stage is a turning point for many patients. The skin is actively repairing itself, and while redness and swelling are still present, early improvements in texture begin to take shape beneath the surface. Healing is well underway, even if it does not look finished yet.

We are so thankful she continues to share her experience from inside the procedure room through daily photo updates. Seeing the process unfold day by day helps others understand what to expect and feel more prepared when considering MiXto CO2 laser resurfacing.

Itching can be one of the most surprising parts of healing, and it is very normal at this stage. As new skin cells turn over and repair accelerates, itchiness is a common sign that the healing process is underway. For many patients, this phase can feel more challenging than the first day.

Having an experienced physician and a supportive nurse guiding you through recovery makes a meaningful difference.

What helped during this stage:

- Water and vinegar soaks as directed by Dr. Hester and Nurse Miranda
- Staying consistent with post-care products
- An antihistamine if approved by your provider

Day 1 after MiXto CO2 laser resurfacing with Dr. Hester at Be Medispa

We are so grateful when patients are willing to share their healing journey day by day. Seeing real progress helps others feel informed, prepared, and supported before starting treatment.

Day 1 often brings swelling and crusting, especially around the eyes. This is a normal part of the healing response as the skin begins repairing itself and collagen production is activated. Comfort is usually manageable, but aftercare plays a huge role in how well the skin heals.

Her Day 1 experience:
- Swelling and crusting
- Zero pain or discomfort
- Swollen eyes that were more annoying than anything

Following the guidance from our team is key during this stage. Consistency matters.

Aftercare routine
- Distilled water and distilled vinegar soaks every 3 to 4 hours
- No picking or scrubbing
- Apply Alastin Skin Nectar
- Spray Avene Thermal Spring Water
- Finish with Aquaphor
- Repeat every 3 to 4 hours and set alarms overnight to stay on track
