Get to know pediatrician Dr. Daphne Hosinski!

Dr. Hosinski has a heart for families and children. “When I entered medical school and started doing rotations...I saw what joy the pediatricians had. I realized pediatrics also fit my personality. I love my job and feel blessed to do what I do on a daily basis.”

Her advice for new parents? “I wish every parent knew when they have a newborn that they are doing a great job. I try to highlight positives...because I was a first-time mother and remember feeling guilt about my child not gaining weight appropriately in those first few weeks while trying to navigate breastfeeding.”

For her, pediatrics is more than just medicine, it's lifelong relationships with families. "I love getting to know the families. I love to witness and learn from how they parent. I really love seeing my families out in the community and getting big hugs from them. It is so special!

Several Fayette County schools students have been confirmed sick with whooping cough. Dr. Katrina Hood with PAA spoke with WKYT and gives her advice to parents:
