Today we had the best time creating our very own ice cream sundaes! Residents gathered together after lunch to build the perfect sweet treat — complete with all the favorite toppings. 🌶️🔥 Happy ! 🔥🌶️

Things heated up in the best way today as our directors went head to head in a spirited chili cookoff! From classic recipes to bold and creative twists, we had so many different styles that there was truly something for every taste preference.

After plenty of sampling (and some friendly competition!), the big winner was… 🏆 Southern Comfort chili — served with spaghetti noodles! A unique spin that definitely won over our residents.

This activity was so much fun, and gatherings like this are what make our community such a special place to live. Great food, laughter, and a little friendly rivalry? That’s a recipe we can all agree on! ❤️🌶️

Today was deliciously hands-on as our residents celebrated National Chocolate Covered Nut Day by dipping pecans, walnuts, and peanuts into creamy white and milk chocolate. The sweet aroma alone was enough to make everyone smile!

At Highgrove, we celebrated Presidents’ Day with a little creativity and a lot of red, white and blue spirit! 🇺🇸

Our residents spent the afternoon transforming mason jars into festive “lanterns,” complete with patriotic flair. From painting and decorating to sharing stories, it was a wonderful blend of creativity, conversation and community.

Crafting isn’t just fun — it’s meaningful. Hands-on projects like these help support fine motor skills, encourage focus and concentration, spark creativity and provide a sense of accomplishment. Even more importantly, crafting together creates opportunities for connection and laughter.
