Ladies and Gentlemen, your 126 lb region champion Drake Wimsatt. Everyone come out this Thursday and Friday to the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park to support Drake at the State Championships.

We had a great night tonight at the City Championships!

On the women’s side, we took five ladies—and all five punched their ticket to the finals. Huge congratulations to Susie Beeken (for the third time!) and London Brown on becoming City Champions! Amaris Solly, Syaliea Sabbagh, and Jojo Holliday battled hard and came away with runner-up finishes. So proud of the way they competed and represented.

On the men’s side, Drake Wimsatt captured his third City Championship—an incredible accomplishment! Matthew Box also had a strong showing and finished as runner-up.

I couldn’t be prouder of this group and the work they’ve put in to get here.

The ladies will compete at Region Championships this Saturday, and the boys will hit the mat for Regions a week from Saturday. Let’s keep it rolling!

Great day at the Jessamine County Clash!
Drake Wimsatt and Locke Loftus brought home gold medals. Matthew Box finished as the runner-up, while Nasser Qasem and Matthew Glover earned 4th-place medals. To top it off, Syalaiea Sabbah picked up a win in her very first match.

Had a great day today at the New Year’s Brawl at Pulaski County High School. We took 5th as a team out of 13 with only five guys and all five came home with hardware.

Freshmen Luke Turley and Huck Williams, along with sophomore Cayden Ramirez, earned their first career medals! Juniors Drake Wimsatt and Locke Loftus both brought home gold.

On the girls’ side, Jojo Holliday continues to improve every time she steps on the mat, and London Brown scored an incredible 24-second pin!

Couldn’t be prouder of this group—we’re getting better every day. WAY TO GO MATDOGS!

Graduation is always a bitter sweet day. Excited for this group of young men, but they will definitely be missed. The wrestling room won’t be the same with out them. Congrats to Zavier, Neftaly, Jaime, Chaz, Jean Luca, Karson, and Daniel (not pictured). You guys know how to make an old coach proud! I expcect to see all of you next year at alumni night since you are now considered old too!

Had a day of ups and downs at Regions, but the guys fought hard. We qualified four with two alternates, and have one more week in preparation for state. Proud of how hard the guys fought, and ready to put in more work this week!!

Had a fun day at the city championships. Some things went our way, some didn’t. But we all got better and finished third as a team. We had people finish top 4 in 9 of the 14 weight classes highlighted by Susie becoming the 106lb city champ in the boys division!!!

Last night was bittersweet. Our seniors wrestled at home for the final time in front of the largest crowd I can remember for a week night dual. Alumni came in from as far as Columbus Ohio to see next years batch of alumni, tell stories, and share some laughs. Proud of all the seniors and greatful for everyone who came to send them off in style.

It’s Wednesday, you have been stuck at home with the cold and snow for a week and a half, you should come out to Dunbar tonight, root on the wrestling team, and help send off our seniors in style in their final home match!!! Senior recognition starts at 6:00, with wrestling beginning at 6:30. All the cool kids will be there!!!

Alumni night/senior night is one week away! It’s been a long week stuck at home with the snow, so next Wednesday the 15th, let’s get everyone out to Dunbar and send these Seniors out on a high note! Wrestling begins at 6:00

Susie with the first round pin at the Lioness! Her bodyguards were in attendance to make sure everything went as planned.

One more tournament before a couple days off for some needed and deserved couple of days off for the guys. Everyone improved at JV Regions with Tavion finishing first, Branson second, Jayden third, and Kage forth.
